Back Home... (Rezza)

Sterling sat staring at the roof in his bed. He hated not being able to use magic... his real bed seemed like much less of a home that his four poster back in his dorm at Hogwarts did. He wanted some reminder of its existence... even though he saw magic all around him, he just wanted to see the great sandstone walls of the castle he loved so much again...

The house was empty, save for him. His parents gone on a date (which Sterling always thought was weird) and his sisters just... gone, doing whatever they did.

Sighing slightly he rolled over, attempting to sleep, where at least he could dream of the happy times he'd had in the past...

Sterling had just sent an owl the previous week with his new address to Hogwarts, his family had recently moved across the deserted state in which he lived... he wanted to be sure he got his acceptance letter in the right place...

Sterling sat up lightning fast as he heard a rap on the door. Who on Earth would be coming? He didn't have any friends from home... Chase was the one who had broken his shell... who would be coming? Unless it was girl scouts, selling cookies... he left his wand on his night stand and walked out to the front door.

He ran down the stairs faster than normal, trying to ease his boredom as he opened the door ceremoniously. He looked outside--his jaw dropped. Nerezza?? oh what a horrible turn of events. This wasn't going to peaceful at all... instinctively he reached into his pants pocket to get his wand... but realized he didn't have it. Again, he realized he wouldn't use it if he had it... he still had the Trace, which had recently been updated to only detect the user, not the surrounding magic.

Crap.

Sterling took a wary step backward, reaching for his wand again but, alas, it still wasn't there. "Because... Catalina's stronger than you and you're jealous?" he ventured. It seemed rather logical...

Then his mind wandered to every previous encounter and duel they had had... had it not always ended up with her kissing him, or on top of him... or visa versa? Was that the baseline of their entire, twisted, demented relationship?

Sterling felt himself overcome with Nerezza's veela charm an instant before she kissed him. When she did, it was him that leaned it toward her as she backed up to break away from the kiss. Blushing with embarrassment and anger, he tried again to draw his wand. It's not here... he reminded himself.

Sterling gritted his teeth. "Yes, she has a scar. I haven't seen it though," he said, to dismiss her from asking for details. "Although I'm certain it looks similar to the one you gave me," he said, a little less furiously. He didn't care as much of himself getting hurt as he did for Catalina...

Guess again? Why was she playing such a malicious game with him? He was in no mood whatsoever for a game, all he wanted was to curse her to bits... but was that all he wanted? Something else in the back of his mind accented another desire... perhaps a stronger one...

Sterling looked at her in shock. More than kiss him? Part of him wanted to get it wrong on purpose, just so he could see what she meant... and he did so. "You want to enlist me in the Death Eaters?" he said, although he knew it wasn't the answer. He wanted to see what she meant... wanted to feel her body against his again...
