"Hold on!"She said spinning around and pushing her into the chair. "You can't go with you're hair all boring and straight!"She said and immediately grabbed a curling iron and some hair spray. "Get ready love."She said laughing happily and advanced on Davina.

Davina groaned. She had almost got away. She turned back towards Chase and sat down once more, for another round of torture. She would have an awful night anyway, she may as well let Chase have a nice one. She sat in the chair, although she kept moving around, making it awkward for Chase.

Chase laughed. "Sorry!"She said giggling. "There, now look at yourself."She said holding up the mirror again. She looked dazzling. "Any guy would want to dance with you sweetie."She said smiling at her. "Have fun! Please!"She said smiling and patted her on the shoulder. Turning around to go finish her own makeup.

Davina looked at herself. She looked...different. She never understood make-up. What was so appealing about purple eyelids and long eyelashes? She could see concealer maybe, but most of it was pointless. She just shrugged at Chase. She forced a tiny smile, before heading out. The dance wouldn't be much better, if not worse. She wanted the night to be over.
