Slow Dance

Daniel pulled away from her but held her hand as he eyes locked onto hers. "Sure," he smiled politely at her and dragged her onto the dancing floor, then turned on his heels to face her putting his hands on her hips and started to dance slowly to the song with her. "Shouldn't i be asking you to dance." Daniel asked her whispering into her ears.

"I..I...I'm sorry" Izzie stuttered. God, she thought, she just messed up the night. She blushed and chuckled sheepishly. She looked down in shame and worried.

Daniel let a small laughter escape his lips, giving her a kiss on the lips. "Don't worry," he chuckled, his eyes locked onto her as they danced around in a circle with his arm wrapped around her waist and her arm around his neck. He loved Izzie so much and never ever wanted to trade her for anything else in this world.

Izzie smiled and looked at him. She had her hands locked together quite tightly around his neck. She didn't want to let go.

"Ben?" she asked, "Do you like me?"

Ben smiled at Alice. He was glad he had asked her to dance. He really was. He only wished he had been a bit more obvious in what he wanted. He cursed himself for not being so. He was almost glad she asked, though wished he had asked himself. She shouldn't have to ask. "Yes."

Alice grinned so wide she thought her jaws would break. Then she continued dancing, enjoying the moment. She looked over and saw tons of friends dancing. She smiled at all of them, then returned her focus to the dance, to the beat.

Ben smiled as he danced along with Alice. He'd never liked dancing before, but he liked it with her. Mainly because she was there, not too much because of the dancing. He sighed as the song came to an end. "Do you want to dance again or get a drink?" he asked her. He didn't mind either way and wondered if she wanted a rest or anything.

After several songs and dances, Sterling retreated to the drinks area, panting. He felt exhilarated as if he had just been run through by a ghost... yet peaceful as if he was about to fall asleep. He felt cold as if he was in an ice storm, yet hot as if he were burning. He was so confused as to all the sensations around him when he broke apart from Cat and sat at the punch table, not drinking any. He looked at Alice and Ben. He was generally irked by Ben, but to see hims so close and so happy with the Hufflepuff girl he was with made him smile. He looked at Daniel and Izzie, in close proximity and dancing elegantly. Then at Chase and Jesse, he stifled his jealousy and changed it to the same emotion he felt for everybody else. It was as if everybody one Earth was having a good day... there were no enemies.

Alice really wanted to stay dancing, but she was getting dehidrated.

"I'd love to stay, but I'm a little thirsty..." she said. She hoped that explained it all.

Sterling stood as Alice came walking towards the punch table. She took a drink and he watched her. "Would you like to dance?" he blurted out. He had the strange urge to dance with everybody, and Alice was always nice enough. She seemed to be having a good time with Ben, but Sterling didn't mean it like that, merely as a friendly gesture, he offered her his hand awkwardly.
