Practicing...(open to everyone!)

"Reducto" Piper sighed. It had been 2 hours of practice and still her dueling spells went strong enough. She was a 7th year for crying out loud and she still had the Dueling compadity of a 1st year. "This is use less." She said plopping on the grass. She wanted to bring up herself esteem, so she decided to do something she knew how to do extremely well.

"Cystidous" She sang pointing to the water. It was a transfiguration spell that she had conducted. Before Piper's very eyes she splashes for water turned into crystal butterflies. When they flew in frount of the sun they made small beams of rainbows dance everywhere. "If only I was this good at dueling." She said to herself. In all honisty she hated Dueling, but she figured is she knew how to do it better she would be able to protect herself.

Jesse watched her carefully from a distance, a smile coming over his face when she became to frustrated with dueling to continue. This was a problem that many students had to overcome, but came quite naturally to Jesse. Of course he was no master at it, but he could hold his own against other people his age, and even a few above him. When she went back to the table, Jesse slowly walked up to her with a grin on his face.

"Practicing our dueling are we?"

Piper looked behind her. "Oh heh yeah." She smiled at the young man. "I'm not that best at it. Actually, to be honest, I'm down right awful." She said looking back as the last crystal butterfly fluttered away. Then she though on how rude she must have been. "Oh I'm sorry. I'm Katherine Piper, by the way."

He walked up to her casually and smiled at her saying she was not that good at dueling. He put his hand out and smiled "Jesse Daniels." He looked at the butterflies she had made and then he spoke "From what I can see, your pretty good at Transfiguration, ever thought about putting that into your duels." He grinned and he sat down at her feet, laying back and putting his hands behind his head looking out into the water.

"People are used to seeing all those same spells like stupefy and such, if you bring a different style to the table, say playing off your strengths with Transfiguration, you will become a ten times better duelist."

Piper sat next to him with a look of confustion. "I never thought of that." Then she started laughing. "That just mean's I've been pracicing all this time for nothing!" Piper then turned to Jesse. "I'm sure you think me a fool, you seem very Knowledgeable in the ways of duel." She said looking down at her feet. -Jeez Piper...it doesn't take aroua to think of that. Your so incompotant.- Piper thought to herself.

Jesse shook his head at her and laughed "No, I don't think your a fool at all, and I am not that great at dueling. I just pretend I know what I am talking about and hope no one calls me out on it." He laughed and then looked out onto the lake, longing to get inside of it, but he did not have any swimming clothes. Deciding against it, he turned back to Kat. "Why are you so set on becoming a better duelist. With your skills in Transfiguration, I am sure you will make it far in life. Besides, you probably have some guy to protect you anyways."

Piper laughed at the last bit. "I really don't know. Before you told me to use Trasfiguration in my dueling, I wanted to be ready whenever someone decided that I look like easy game and on the whole guy thing. I don't have one to protect me. I have some guy friend that I hang with every once in a while, but not that much." She smiled. The last guy she had protect her was Dae and he disappeared.

Piper decided that Jesse was a really easy to talk to. You don't find many of those.

"Ah, easy game eh?" He laughed and he leaned up and grabbed a rock, throwing it onto the lake. Ever since he had met Chase, his mind had not stopped thinking about her, even now he was thinking about her. This was something new to him as he had gone through most of his life without ever developing a crush on anyone, but here he was now. "Well how about this, if you ever need protection and I am in the general area, I promise I will jump in and help you. Sound like a good idea?"

"Haha when ever your feelin froggy" She jocked. "So what about you. Are you the usual dueller, or do you use another specialty?" She asked watching the rock create a ripple effect in the water.

He grinned "I like to use the element of surprise and the things that are given to me. For example, I will use a spell to shoot at the dirt around someone feet and maybe the dirt will get in their eyes and temporarily blind them, or flick my wand and when the person expects a spell, bam! They get a trash can to the back of the skull."
