Ariana in a muddle. *open*

Haven’t dealt with an accident prone first year, she decided to take a walk around the grounds and get her bearings. She hadn’t realised how beautiful Hogwarts could be in the evening. Having wandered along for nearly an hour it had started to get dark, but Ariana hadn’t noticed. It wasn’t until she fully looked around did she take in exactly where she was standing.

Around her and tangled up in her cloak was the prickliest plant she had ever seen. She tugged her cloak a few times then with a huge pull, she ended up landing in a heap on the floor.

Talking to herself she almost yelled “Typical”

Ben was wondering around the Lake. He was really bored. He couldn't find anyone to talk to anywhere, they all seemed to be busy studying for their exams. Admittedly, he should probably be doing that as well, but he wasn't in the mood for studying at the moment. He wasn't ever in the mood for studying, really, but especially not tonight.

He was walking along the Lake when he saw someone up ahead. Some adult he guessed, as they looked a lot taller than a student. Just as he was walking up to the person, they fell over. He went over to see if they were ok. He saw it was a woman, but he didn't recognise who. A new staff member, probably, as a couple had disappeared. Who knows where they had gone in this time. "You alright?" he asked, offering her a hand.

She heard someone ahead of her and but was too preoccupied to look, when they spoke finally took notice to see a young student asking if she was ok. All she needed was a student seeing her in a tangle but he looked sincere, alone she would be stuck here all night.

With a slightly pink face from embarrassment she smiled a little and spoke “I think I have gotten myself a little tangled.” She was more than a little tangled her cloak appeared ruined, she couldn’t get up she was stuck fast.

Ariana looked at him ruefully “Any suggestions?”

Ben looked to see how tangled she was. He knelt down on the floor to examine the bush. She was lucky a younger student found her, as only a small child could get through into the bush. "I think I can get into the bush and untangle you." he said, looking up towards the Professor.

Ben crawled into the bush, trying not to get scratched too much. He started picking the brambles out of the coat. He got pricked a couple of times but carried on. He wasn't the kind of person to give up, no matter how long it took.

Ariana didn’t know if she should be please of horrified that she was letting a student crawl through the bush on her behalf, but she was extremely grateful. She didn’t want to spend a whole evening tangled.

“Are you sure you’re okay?” she noticed that he was cutting his fingers in the process of untangling her. Thinking ahead she had a spell in her head to fix the problem.
After a short while but what felt like forever she was able to get herself free, she crawled away from leaving her cloak behind and was able to stand up.

“Thank you" was the first thing she said.

Ben crawled back out of the bushes. His hands had scratches all over them. He didn't want to make a fuss though, as he didn't want to make the Professor feel bad. He stood up and brushed the dirt off his robes, trying not to get blood on them.

Ben realised he hadn't actually introduced himself. "Oh, I'm Ben, Ben Macmillan." he told her, smiling. He didn't want to force her to shake his hand as he didn't want her to realise how bad the cuts were.

She cringed when she looked at his hands, it was lucky that it was her and not someone else who he had decided to rescue. “Well Benjamin, I owe you a big thank you.” She walked over to him and gently lifted up the damaged hands trying not to hurt him.
“My name is Ariana Dawntouch the new school nurse. Perhaps I could fix these” Tapping his hands. “In return for rescuing me."

She studied his hands for a moment just to make sure she had seen everything, and then pulled out her wand. Without a word she gave her wand a little twirl and took the pain and practically all the scratches away except for a slightly deep one on the side of his hand. She then pulled out a pouch which was attached to her robes and rummaged for a little poultice she spread it over the deep cut and wrapped a small bandaged around it.

“I hope that’s a little better for you.”

Ben smiled at the teacher. He was glad he made a good first impression, he liked to be liked. It was lucky he rescued the Nurse, he agreed, though didn't say it aloud. She examined his hands, so she could see the extent of it. It was pointless trying to hide it, he realised.

Ben was relieved when she healed him, though, as however much he tried to hide the pain, it was still there. "Thanks, miss." he said, remembering to address her politely. "It feels much better." he added.

Ben didn't know what else to say to her. What did you talk about with teachers? "How long have you been teaching here?" he finally asked, after a pause. He wanted to say something, but he didn't know what to talk about with teachers, really.

She was relieved that he had accepted her help, sometimes her instincts took over and she went on automatic treating people. Just like that time in Austria a few years back, Ariana had gone on autopilot to help deal with the horrendous events that happened, now she tried to block the memories out.

Ariana refocused when she realised that Ben was speaking to her, she was feeling tired and hungry as she had been outside for a long time. “I’m glad you feel okay.”

He asked her how long she had worked there. “Well this is my first official day here, I arrived last night.” She laughed to herself for a moment. “As you can see I still need to learn where the safe places are.”

Daniel headed down the hill away from the castle, with a cup of coffee in his hand, and walked toward the forbidden forest for his daily walk routine, he knew the school had forbidden for student to enter there without a teacher with them supervising them but didn't really care. He looked around his surrounding in his golden framed sunglasses and saw his favorite little kid talking to one of teachers in the school and decided to talk to him so he halted at his spot then walked over to them. "Hello Benny!" he smiled setting a hand on Ben shoulder and shook it gently, his tone cheerily then looked up at Ariana. "Morning Professor, good day isn't it" he asked.
