Xander took her hand in his and brushed his lips against her knuckles to match Catalina's manners. By the way she held herself and the way she spoke, Xander could tell that she came from a wealthy family. Probably a pureblooded one.

He let go of her hand and smiled briefly at her. "And what brings you here tonight?" he asked her.

Why is it that all of these young me are kissing my hand? she thought, confused. But, he's cute, so why should it matter? Well, he may be being polite, but I think Michael was mocking me.

She blinked a couple of times, trying to stifle the blush that rose upon her cheeks. Her hand fell to her bag and she looked over at Kya for a moment.

When Xander asked her a question, her sapphire eyes flickered in his direction, lingering between his own shining orbs. "Well," she began, opening up her bag and pulling out some pencils and paper, "I was planning on drawing the people I found in here. But, now, I would much rather have a pleasant conversation with you two. Unless you would like to be alone to catch up? I apologize for the intrusion." She laughed, her giggle like bells. "I suppose it is kind of a habit for me."

Kya shook her head at her brother's antics and smiled at Catalina. "Do stay," she told her. "You're not interrupting at all," she added, watching her pencils and paper. "I didn't know you could draw," she commented lightly. "Did you ever take classes?"

She then brushed her hand across the surface of the table absentmindedly, only to remember she hadn't ordered anything when she came in. "Oh, drat... would you like anything to drink, Catalina?"

"Oh, alright. Thank you." She paused, situating her drawing utensils in front of her. "Being alone all of the time insists upon practice being by yourself. I have learned many things on my own with all of the free time I had cooped up in my house after lessons. Drawing is quite refreshing, actually."

"I would love something to drink." She pulled out a couple of sickles and a galleon. "How much is a butterbeer?"

Xander listened to Catalina's answer and leaned back on his seat. It caught his attention that Catalina would mention being cooped up in her house after lessons. Had she been home schooled, too? Interesting...

"Butterbeers are two Sickles," he replied. "Or at least in the Hog's Head they are. I doubt the price varies."

OOC: haha. We'll go with that then.

IC: Catalina met Xander's eyes again when he replied to her question. He was very attractive for a young man, but she shouldn't get ahead of herself. He looked so handsome leaning back like that.

With a blush, she looked back down into her bag and said, "Alright then." She laid her two sickles out on the table and shoved her galleons back inside her bag.

OOC: Is Kya offering to go and get them? Or what?

Kya looked around in her small bag for coins and fished out two Sickles. She set them on the table and looked at her companions.

"Do you want a butterbeer too, dear brother of mine?" she asked him, her green eyes on his greyish blue ones. "I can go and get them for you," she added, not commenting on Catalina's blush for the girl's sake but storing it in her mind for later.

Xander fished out a couple of Sickles from his pockets and tossed them at Kya with a smirk. "I'll have what you both lovely ladies are having, please," he told her. He'd usually ask for Firewhiskey... but now didn't seem to be the time for that.

Catalina gently placed her two sickles in Kya's hand and then looked up into her eyes. "Thank you," she said sincerely, enjoying the fact that people were being so nice to her lately. But, she knew that she shouldn't keep her guard down. People are easy deceivers.

Kya took Catalina's money and caught Xander's. She stuck out her tongue at him and stood up.

"I'll be right back," she told the pair. Then to Xander, "Behave," before she walked away, making her way to the bar.
