Catalina hugged her robe closer to her body as she stepped through the Hogwarts Gates and down the path towards Hogsmeade. Her dainty high-heeled feet hit down upon the cobblestone walkway, a clang sounding softly at each step.
A breeze whistled through the midnight air as she continued on her way, rustling her hair gently around her porcelain face. Her makeup was darker than usual on this windy night for her eyes were outlined with black pencil and her lips were as gray as the sky above her. Her hair was still curled along her shoulders, trembling with excitement at their master's adventure.
As she came upon the village, she reveled in the fact that the houses were all quiet. It was peaceful, almost remorseful. Looking face forward, she strolled down the street, the only sound the clicking of her heels. All was silent.
It was almost lonely being out here like this, but Catalina was used to being alone. Sighing sadly, she stepped towards a deserted table just outside of Madam Puddifoot's, which was closed for the night. But, the tables were not in use, so it should be allowed to come and sit here.
Pulling out her sketchbook and pencils, Catalina began to draw all of the faces she had seen at Hogwarts, starting with Zoe. She began with the face, drawing the pointed chin and the small ears. Then she drew the oval-shaped eyes, sketching in the life of the pupils and the thickness of the lashes. Zoe's eyes stared intensely up at Catalina, threatening to jump from the page with their life-like quality.
She then began the lips, formed into a slight smile, with no teeth showing. Then, the hair. She drew the strands long and stringy before filling it in with thickness. Taking a momentary break, she looked up at the stars, wondering why she felt it necessary to be alone.
