Brandy stood near the black lake as the sun started to hide itself behind the pine trees that made up the border of the forbidden forest. Brandy tilted her head as she thought; I wish I could hide like the sun can. Just disappear for the night and not be seen until morning. Brandy picked up a smooth, grey stone from the moss and lay it in her palm. She ran her fingers acrossed it and tossed it into the lake abruptly. Brandy was whispering a old song she was taught by her father when she was young.
"Cause an empty room can be so loud
Its too many tears to drown them out
So hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on
One single smile a helping hand (hold on)
Its not that hard to be a friend (hold on)
So don’t give up, stand 'til the end(hold on)
Theres more to life than just to live(hold on)".
She hoped no one had been around. She hated her voice so. Even whispering the lyrics made her feel like blushing and hiding from all humanity. That is when Brandy heard the soft footsteps of someone behind her. “Ok, I know I suck at singing… no need to waist your time listening to it. Ill leave”, She told whoever was behind her without even turning to see who it was first.
