But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Classes Empty Classes

There are a total of six classes to take at Hogwarts on PA: Defense against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration, Herbology, Charms, Alchemy and Care of Magical Creatures. You need to take at least one class a year to stay at Hogwarts, or you will become a Drop-Out. You need to pass at least one class to move onto the following year. There are Basic classes for years 1-5, and NEWT classes for years 6-7.

Classes give you points which help your house win the house cup!

OUTSTANDING is the highest mark achievable, someone who has gotten outstanding on his NEWTs is likely to get whatever job he/she wants. EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS is the next grade. And ACCEPTABLE is the last pass grade. POOR is the first fail grade, while DREADFUL is the next. TROLL is the worst grade at Hogwarts.

The following list states the classes and their description.
Alchemy
Alchemy is the art of transmutation, which enables the user to make any object into something precious such as silver or gold. Advanced alchemists study spiritual alchemy, which allows them to prolong life span and possibly achieve immortality. The classroom is on the seventh floor.

Care of Magical Creatures
In Care of Magical Creatures you learn how to tackle, manage, feed and identify magical Creatures. You learn Care of Magical Creatures at the grounds near or in the Forbidden Forest.

Charms
In Charms you learn non-violet yet useful spells, such as episkey, the summoning and the levitating charm. Its classroom is on the third floor.

Defense against the Dark Arts.
Defense Against the Dart Arts is the study of how to defend yourself against the Dark Arts. You learn protection charms, how to deal with curses and dark creatures and counter-jinxes. The classroom is on the first floor.

Herbology.
In herbology you learn how to identify, take care of and grow magical plants such as mandrakes. The lessons are at the Grounds at the Greenhouses.

Transfiguration
Transfiguration is the study of changing objects shapes and properties by magic, and also creating objects. The classroom is on the fifth floor.
