Leave me alone.

Once finished with getting Elle settled from her last interaction with Alex, Maddie went off in search of one of the Professors. Heading toward the staff room she was lost in thought of how to approach what happened with Alex and Elle. Like Ciara had said something needed to be done about the boy, his behavior had been absolutely inappropriate for the last time. She was watching her feet when she walked directly into a person, “Oh I’m so s…,” she started to apoligize before she realized who she was tangled with, Alex himself.

“Don’t worry about it,” the boy smirked at Maddie, “It was nice catching you here.” he said.

Maddie wanted to vomit, She tried to right herself but couldn’t wrangle herself out of his arms to back away from him.

“Where do you think your headed off to in such a hurry again?” He asked as if he actually cared, “You just got here. Why don’t we hang out for a bit.”

“I don’t want to hang out with you.” Maddie spat back at the boy, as she struggled to push him away. “Why can’t you just leave Elle and i allone.” her voice rised as she finally pushed herself out of his grasp.

“Hey, hey, hey!”

Teddy Lupin was not sure what he’d walked in on, but he was not happy with it in the slightest. With a wave of his wand, a gush of air pulled the two students apart. He was not a fan of using such spells on students, he was a believer in autonomy, but that was exactly the problem he was seeing. He didn’t know the contect, just that Kane did not look like she wanted to be touched. That was all he had to know.

He planted himself firmly between the two, but looked to the girl. “Is everything okay here? What’s going on?”

Maddison breathed a sigh of releife when Professor Lupin stepped between herself and Alex. "I was just coming to look for a professor about this." She said dejectedly looking at Alex around mr. lupin. "He's been herassing many of the girls. He's tried to keep me from leaving when he was talking to me twice now, and He keeps touching my friend." Maddie kept Elle's name out of it, she didn't need to be in any trouble for keeping him away from her. "Mason ended up having to seperate the two earlier today." she stated.


"I haven't done anything to you," Alex narrowed his eyes at Maddie, "Just tried to get to know you. Don't know why I bother you're all stuck up and full of yourselves."

Not in his castle.

Teddy had always been a sensitive soul, but becoming a surrogate parent to Lily Potter had especially opened him to the importance of keeping an eye out for red flag behavior.

This kid was covered.

"Yeah, not today," Teddy said. "Detention. For a week. I'm talking to your Head of House, too, we're going to have a some discussions about consent and proper behavior. Zero tolerance, Greengrass."

Alex stood there in disbelief, his gaze shifting from Professor Lupin to Maddie. He muttered a begrudging "Yes, Professor," realizing that there was little he could do to talk his way out of the situation. Maddie's intervention had effectively ruined his chances of avoiding the consequences of his behavior.

"We've been asking him to stop for days now," Maddie explained to Professor Lupin, hoping to provide a clearer picture of the situation that he had walked into. "I was actually on my way to the professors' lounge to report him since he wouldn't stop after we told him no," she added.

Maddie continued, "When I tried to get away from him, he grabbed hold of me." She wanted to make it clear that Alex's behavior was unacceptable and needed to be addressed. Professor Lupin listened attentively, his expression serious and concerned, clearly recognizing the gravity of the situation.

Teddy looked to the Hufflepuff girl, looking serious. "That behavior will not be allowed. If anything happens again, feel free to come to me, or any staff. I will personally ensure it's followed up on."

He looked to the boy. "I'd ask you to apologize but I don't imagine Miss Kane wants to hear much more from you." He looked back at her. "If you'd like, you may leave. Please let any other students know that my door is open."

"You," he said, looking at Alex. "Are going to have a chat with me."

Maddie's smile widened as she looked up at Professor Lupin, feeling grateful for his intervention. "Thank you, Professor," she said sincerely. "This will be very much appreciated by the female student population. It might also help if you take away his Com. He's been acting up on there as well."

As soon as Maddie was dismissed, she gladly left the scene and walked as fast as her legs would carry her away from the boy who had been causing them so many issues.

Meanwhile, Alex continued to glare at Maddie as she ran away, seething with anger. "Yes, sir," he responded through gritted teeth, his eyes dropping to the floor once the girl was out of sight. He knew Maddie would have to pay for this, and he was already thinking of ways to make her regret it.

He didn't have time to be happy he'd assuaged the girl's worries, he was too concerned with the situation at hand. He nodded to her, and offered her another thank you for bringing the matter to his attention.

Teddy looked at the room, his Charms classroom that he'd always wanted to be a safe space. He took in a deep breath and waved his wand. A table and two chairs came sliding over, and Teddy took a seat at one of the chairs. He looked at the boy and gestured for him to sit.

"What's going on, Alexander?"

As they arrived at the charms classroom, Alex stood by the door, arms crossed defensively. "There's nothing going on," he insisted to the professor. "They're just overreacting. I was just trying to get to know some of the other students better," he muttered, avoiding eye contact and declining the seat that was offered to him. The young man's expression was akin to that of a petulant child who had been denied a coveted toy, rather than that of a student in trouble at school. He sulked as he was compelled to speak with the professor.

Teddy wouldn't push the seat issue, he was not one of those professors who were easily wound up by 'signs of disrespect.' If the student felt like having this conversation standing, he could do that.

"Miss Kane said you put your hands on students without their consent," Teddy said, his voice level. "That's not an overreaction. And I think you know that it's not a good way to make new friends. Not only that, but it's not appropriate."

He folded his hands on the table. "What's really going on, Alex?"
