Most would consider him good looking, which was definitely helped by his muscular body frame - though that was earned rather than given, due to the large amount of time he spent practising Quidditch these days. He’s slightly taller than average, though not enough to really be classed as tall. He is usually seen with a smile on his face, unless he’s on the pitch in which case he’s 100% focussed, or frustrated if it looks like he’s losing.------------------------------------------------------------PERSONALITY------------------------------------------------------------GOOD TRAITS: Quidditch, sports in general

MIRROR OF ERISED: Winning the Quidditch World Cup for England.
PERSONALITY:
He really really likes Quidditch. Like a lot. He’s a pretty average student, has a few friends, but is a bit obsessed with the sport. He’s a muggle-born so grew up playing football, which he loved, but when he learnt how to fly, Quidditch became his new obsession. Outside of Quidditch, he doesn’t take everything else too seriously. He might mess around in lessons (though most of the time he will still pass, even if only just), play the odd prank from Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes. He just wants to enjoy life and have a good time. He’s wary about getting into trouble because, you’ve guessed it, detention could clash with Quidditch. He’s also recently gotten to the point where he’s interested in girls, but none have caught his attention enough yet to justify taking time away from the pitch.

CHARACTER HISTORY
------------------------------------------------------------
Early Years:
Luke grew up in your typical muggle village in Yorkshire. The youngest of three brothers, they played footie around the streets and parks when they were growing up and he was always trying to live up to their standards. He was actually pretty good, but being a few years older they of course would beat him hands down every time, though it just made Luke try even harder. Football was just something shared amongst all the men in the family and was something Luke love as much as the rest of them. All big Hull City supporters, as were many people in the area), they went to games whenever they could and it was something he bonded over with his brothers and father. Though he worked hard when it came to sports, the same couldn’t be said for much else in his life. He had a few friends at his primary school who he hung out with, sometimes playing the fool during classes, but generally having a good time. Luke had a pretty normal childhood for the fist ten years of his life, occasionally something odd might happen, but it would be brushed under the carpet rather quickly.
Then, to the shock of everyone, Luke got a letter the summer before when he was supposed to start secondary school alongside his older brothers. A letter, saying he was a wizard, and that he was invited to attend an all expenses paid boarding school up in Scotland! A wizard came to explain it all and even showed some magic to his family.
Then, he got to visit Diagon Alley, a wizarding street in London. Apparently only witches and wizards could go there, but he was allowed to bring his parents with him because he was a wizard. They looked in awe at things like wands, broomsticks, cauldrons, everything was just incredible. Then, with the cover story of him being accepted on a football scholarship to a boarding school, he left his family and headed up to Hogwarts. Well, he had to take a train four hours to London, to take another train all the way back up to Scotland (why he couldn’t join them further north was very confusing, for everything wizards did couldn’t make a train stop?).
Hogwarts Years:
Luke was a bit nervous to start at Hogwarts. Most people seemed to know all about magic, unlike him who had only learned he was a wizard a few months ago. Plus he had never been good at school before, and didn’t think it would change much even at a magical school. When he got there they were sorted into houses. Brave, loyal, clever and ambitious, at least from what he understood. He didn’t really know much about them otherwise, though others had been talking about them a lot on the train and where they wanted to be. When he went up to be sorted, GRYFFINDOR, the hat called out. Though it was bizarre having a hat tell you where to go, he joined his new friends at the table who cheered loudly when he was sorted.
He made friends with some of the others in his house, they mostly seemed nice enough. He wasn’t that good at lessons, but luckily nobody else knew that much either, which is what he’d worried about, so he wasn’t really too far behind. One thing he did turn out to be good at though, was flying.
After his first flying lesson he became obsessed. First years weren’t allowed brooms, not that he’d be able to afford one anyway, so he spent hours using the school brooms practising flying and learning all about Quidditch. He learnt all about the game, as it seemed to be the wizarding equivalent to football. He looked up all the teams in the UK and realised the Appleby Arrows was actually really local to him, so he began to follow their games and became a big supporter over the years. When he played football he was always in goal, so he figured at Quidditch the Keeper would be the place to start, so he spent a some time practicing, but with only the school brooms and few people who would play against him, he couldn't as much as he would like..
He still needed a broom though. He worked as a paper boy all over summer, and vowed to do it every year until he got enough to buy a broom. Alongside saving any money he got from birthdays and such, he finally got a new broom right before third year. It wasn’t the best on the market by far, but it was miles better than the school brooms. He also learnt how to curse the balls to hone in on him so he could practice being in goal. Then, the old Keeper had finally graduated and he got to try out for it in his third year - and he made the team! He was so happy, it was one of the best things that could happen. He told his parents, who didn’t know anything about Quidditch, but understood it was like making the football team, so they were very proud of him.
He spent the next few years at Hogwarts focussing on Quidditch more than anything else. He spent more time with the team than his classmates sometimes, and when they didn’t want to practise he’d be out on the pitch by himself - he’d figured out how to curse the Quaffle and Bludger in many different ways to fly at him so he could practise saving goals whilst dodging. The professors wish he put that much effort into his school work, but alas, Luke cared about Quidditch far more. He knew that if he was good enough, he might even get signed out of school - that was the dream!
