Robert gave Michael a few minutes to get a little coffee before they went back out. Robert was anxious to check out Gelding's new home, even though it wasn't in Paris. He and Michael ported there to check things out. They both had dark peacoats on, and Robert wore a dark suede cap, while Michael chose a dark knit cap. They used the hats to disguise their hair, making them a bit less recognizeable by Gelding's people. At the last minute, Michael had flicked his fingers at Robert's hair, turning it a ginger color, knowing that Gelding's people would discount a man with ginger hair as being any of Robert's people. He had turned his own hair, his beard and mustache a dark brown color for the same reason.
They purposely approached Gelding's neighborhood from opposite ends of Gelding's street, and on opposite sides of the street, as if they were just passersby. they stayed rather far from the Gelding property, and then they pretended that they knew each other and Michael crossed the street moving away from the house where they pretended to lean up against a fence casually to hold a conversation. Robert lit up a cigar, something that Gelding would use as evidence that it wasn't Robert because Gelding did not know that Robert smoked. Michael drew out a bent style pipe from his pocket, filled it with tobacco, and lit it. They stood and talked in French for nearly 20 minutes watching the estate. They decided that while the kids might have been there earlier, the estate was too quiet for them to be there now. Robert was beginning to believe that Gelding had either a house or an apartment actually in Paris, something they hadn't found yet, and Robert wanted it know where the heck it was. They acted as if they were both heading on their way and they kept walking through the neighborhood, and then apparated back to headquarters.
They went back in and decided to review the intel again, to try to pinpoint where Gelding had a base in Paris now. They needed to know that. As they were going over the intel, Brian arrived, and he stepped right in to help them review the intel. He had some pieces of intel from a few other informants, and Angus quickly mapped those things out too. Angus studied the map, and with his knowledge of Paris, he became very interested in an art deco style apartment building that was at the center of a good portion of the events and movements that the informants had given them. Angus wanted to know who owned the building.
Michael used a muggle phone and called Daphne and asked her for a favor. Daphne called back in minutes. Michael thanked her and hung up.
"Bingo," Michael looked at Angus. "Its registered to, believe it or not, Reginald Tyler. Purchased a month ago."
"Gelding using Tyler's name to buy it, obviously," Angus said.
"Yes," Robert agreed. "Let's get Jessie and Rowan back, and we'll form a six man team. We'll go with them, and add Brian and Owens. The six of us will go and see what happens if we pay Gelding an unannounced visit." Angus paged Rowan and Jessie to come back to headquarters.
