What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Ruby listened and nodded she looked at the Medalion then to Kate " only if your sure." she said but took it gently and placed it around her neck " if you want it back after, I'll keep it safe." she then moved to Angus and smiled up at him taking hold of his arm, her cheeks turned red a little but she composed herself. " Im not a mouse " she said quietly boosting her self ready for her scopping.

Once they arrived she reluctantly let go of him and nodded watching Mira move towards the trees. She followed keeping low and as quiet as she could. before moving to the road she had mentioned and made her self inconspiquuse.

Angus and Edward followed the women, and it was Edward who found the rock first, and he motioned to Mira and Angus, seeing Ruby going to check the road. They followed the trail up to the iron fence that was the back fence of the lodge property. Angus motioned Mira to go right, and Edward went left, to make a perimeter search by walking as much as they could of the outside of the property. It was a large place though, and Edward was soon wishing Kate had sent them with a couple of owls to fly around them or that they had brought their brooms. Edward believed they would have an easier time if they flew very close to the ground. Once Edward and Mira had started on a perimeter check, Angus found a back gate. He drew a lockpick from his pocket and he picked the lock and silently went inside. He wanted to see for himself what the large building was in the back of the property.

It didn't take him long to find the building. It was a very old stone building, and at first he didn't see any windows in it. The more he walked around it, though, he began to realize there were very small windows up near the roof. He climbed a nearby tree to see the windows better, and he saw the windows all had bars. It took him a moment, and then he realized he had found an old abandoned prison was on Gelding's property. He got as close as he could and and saw an old heavy door on the front. He couldn't tell whether it had been used recently or not, not in the dark.

Now he believed he had something for them to check. This, he believed, was worth some effort, but he remembered Kate's words. They weren't rescueing, only surveiling. And, Angus thought, if they were going to invade, they needed the likes of Robert and Jack and Jessie and the rest. The little four man squad they had right now wasn't likely to be enough. He quickly made his way back outside the lodge property and locked the gate again.

Going back to the creek, he hit the signal on his medallion to tell Mira and Ruby and Edward that he had found something.

Ruby felt her medallion vibrate and she lifted it, remebering Kates words she turhned it Right and imidiatly found her self beside Angus. " you called?" she said softly and stood waiting as they waited for the others. Jack Jessie and Jess all arrived and looked at Angus.

"what you find?" Jack asked looking at the house that stood some ways from them. " I hope its good,I left a perfectly good custard doughnut." he said wiping his mouth clean.

"yeah your fifth one." Jessie said folding his arms across his chest" nobody has come in or out." he told Angus.

"I told you I had seen a second large building on this property, and I did. I found the back gate, and I went in..." Angus started.

"You went onto the property?" Edward asked.

"I did. And I found that big old building. You aren't going to believe what it was. It is an old abandoned prison. Stone walls looks like they're several inches thick, iron bars on the windows, big heavy wooden door, the whole kit and kaboodle."

"Well, well," Edward said, "isn't that interesting? Did you see anyone?"

"I didn't see anyone, but that doesn't mean much at this time of night."

"I think we need to send for Robert and Brian," Edward said. "I don't know if this will pan out or not but but it's the best we have so far. What do you lot think?"

Jack looked at Angus and nodded " Im in a gree ment with him, a long shot is better than none" he said Jessie paced then nodded.

"agreed" he said Ruby looked at everyone then the building then back,

"what use would he have for such a large obvious prison building, how many people was he planning on holding?" she asked hoping she would not see the inside or if she did she would get back out again. Jess saw her trepedation and smiled at her before walking over.

"its how he is, obnoxtios and over the top things are what he does, he tries to one up all the time, and failed." she told her making Ruby smile and nod her head. " But if Khaat and Marcus are in there we have to get them out, and if their not we eliminated one place off the list, call them." she said looking at Angus.

"I'm sending for Robert and Brian right now," Angus said firmly. He used the medallion and paged both Robert and Brian, and in a matter of seconds, Robert and Brian appeared separately. Robert was covered in dust and cobwebs, but Brian was in a pair of sweats that he had been wearing when he was tucking Abbey into bed.

"Where are we?" Brian asked Angus.

"Gelding's lodge property," Angus replied. "There's something we need you all to see. Come with me--silently. Wands at the ready because I don't know what we're going to find. It could well be a Pandora's box for all I know, so be ready for anything. This way." He led them back to the gate and picked the lock and second time and opened the gate for them, motioning them to follow him.

He led them through the woods on a little trail that really was very poorly marked, but Angus had been skilled enough to follow it. And then it seemed to rise up right out of the ground. The big old stone prison.

"There it is," Robert seethed with rage. "I've been looking for that for thirty years!"

"What is it, Robert?" Edward asked very softly.

"This is where he warehouses the best of his 'catches' before he ships them out. The ones we've recovered have described this to me in stunning detail. I swear I'll disassemble this stone by stone so that no one is housed here anymore."

"Do you think Khaat is here?"

"Very likely. Or they were at one time. From what I've been told, the thing is a virtual maze on every floor. We should stay together but at the very least, We can't separate except in pairs. No one goes alone because it's too damned difficult to get out. Gelding rearranged the walls and hexed them to confound and confuse."

"I'm going to kill that bastard," Edward said. "He's pissing me off."

Jessie nodded as did Jack at Roberts words. Ruby moved close to Jessie aRobertnd held his arm. " you stay with me" he told her and she nodded.

"yeah, I don't like this palce one bit" she told him and he nodded.

"yeah me too, but if Robett says to stay close to him he means it." Jessie said noting how Ruby seemed a bit off put by the building. " you okay." he asked she shook her head.

"I'M not keen on the idea of being lost in a building that has it walls move to keep you in." she told him and Jack chuckled softly.

"hey Ruby no one is." he told her" but stick with us and you'll be fine." Jess nodded along while Jack spoke. Ruby took a deep breath in and looked at the building again.

"Time to shut this place down...perminatly." she said taking her wand out and holding it close to her as did the others.

Edward deliberately stuck to the rear to try to fight off anything that might come at them from behind. Robert took the lead simply because if something was going to come at them, he wanted them to come at him first. He found the door to be unlocked, and that was disquieting, and even more so when he saw lights on inside. He knew instantly that meant they weren't alone, and he knew the others would know it too. Brian made his way to Robert.

"This place is going to have more tricks than a funhouse," Brian said.

"Yup," Robert said, looking every direction, not sure where the first obstacle is going to come from. He hadn't had to deal with moving buildings since the moving staircases at Hogwarts. But moving walls were a bit of a different thing. He saw an iron door on the other side of the foyer and he went to it, and found it unlocked too. He opened it and saw corridors going left, right, and straight ahead.

"Fabulous. A labyrinth. Just what I wanted to do tonight," Robert sighed sarcastically. Then he thought he saw someone who seemed to be walking from left to right through an intersection in the corridors.

"Robert," Brian frowned. "That's you!"

"The hell it is," Robert frowned. He looked closer and saw it appeared to be a very ghostly image of himself, floating through the hallways. And then he a similar image of Brian and some others that were too far away to identify.

"Bloody hell," Brian sighed. "Look there, you lot. We're going to have to be able to tell the real us from the phony us's."

"Oh, what fun," Edward said sarcastically.

Jack sighed and shook his head " oh f..hell no, how we gonna do that?" He asked as Jessie and Ruby stayed close to him. " seems he knows a few more tricks than we expected hey."

"well were all staying together, within eye sight." Jessie said " the ghost us don't there on their own, so if we see some one on their own its not one of us." he sugested.

"or we could just tie some rope around our waists so we'd know." Ruby sugested " you know like climbers do in bad weather, we'd be together and unable to be seperated too." she looked at every one wondering if her sugesten was good or just her ramblings

"Stay together for now," Robert said. deciding just to walk straight for now and not take either the left or right corridor. "And for goodness sakes, keep your eyes open." Even as he spoke, Brian felt something click under his foot. He heard a metal sound and then all of a sudden he felt pain and he found his arm was pinned to the wall by a blade.

"Damn," Brian cursed, seeing the blade imbedded in his arm and then into a slot in the wall. He pulled the blade out and tossed it to the floor. "Floor switches, Everyone. Look every direction. Doppelgangers and moving walls clearly aren't enough. If there are floor switches then there are surely more little presents like this in the ceilings, the floors, and the walls." Robert wrapped his hands around Brian's arm for a moment and cast a heavy duty spell to stop the bleeding.

"Alright?" Robert asked, taking his hands away, and seeing that the bleeding seemed to be stopped for the moment.

"I'm fine. Thanks," Brian said. "Let's go." They walked a few more paces, and Robert stopped.

"Are you bleeding again?" he asked Brian.

"No, why?"

"Look. Drops of blood--on the floor."

"Not mine. Someone else in here is bleeding, and it isn't me," Brian said. Robert didn't see how it cold e anyone else with them since he and Brian were in front. "Check yourselves just to be safe. Anyone bleeding?" Brian asked.

"Not me," Edward said.
