•killed her younger brother (false; he drowned but she was the first one to find him)
Bio: Artemis has a semi-scarring past. Her family is followed by countless rumors, one of which she is the center of. Her youngest brother, Devon, passed away at the age of eight when he was playing by himself in the backyard of their house and he accidentally fell into the lake that was connected to it. Artemis was the first one to wonder where her brother was and went to look for him, finding him face down in the water. A scream echoed across the area, and by the time anyone else came out, the girl was in the water reaching for her brothers body.
She's unsure why anyone thinks she killed her brother, but her parents think it has to do with the fact that she's a witch and therefore they believe she is evil. Hogwarts is her only real saving Grace in the world. No one in her family accepts her, and she had slowly started to believe that being a witch is the cause of all her problems and that it may be a curse.
She doesn't hate being a witch, though. In fact, she tries to embrace it whenever she's among other magical beings, but when at home she gets beat by her father when so much a word about Hogwarts is spoken.
