Cronis was meant to be the perfect pureblood heir that would listen to everything his parents told him to do, and for the most part he was exactly that. He knew most pureblood families expected their heirs to act according to the wishes of their parents rather than their own. Professor Poliakoff was one of those heirs, but he'd managed to get away from it thanks to the marriage law that had been placed a while back, that he and his friends had been too young to take part in, thankfully. The fact that the professor was so close in age to them made it easier to approach the man in terms of personal matters, but he was still a professor nonetheless. One who didn't remember much about himself to boot.
Evander had developed a mean streak lately, and apparently had taken advantage of the fact Kaiden didn't remember a lot still. Thanks to that, Cronis found himself unable to talk to the older man a lot of the time now. He shouldn't be thinking of that right now, though. But it was better than thinking about the fight he and his brother had had.
Maybe if he was lucky, Professor Poliakoff was still in the castle and he could finally get a chance to talk to him.
His thoughts were cut short, though, by a voice that seemed to be directing itself toward him. Cronis stopped in his tracks and turned to face the direction of the voice. Oh, great. He found himself facing another Slytherin, in his year no less. And a McLaggen at that. Cronis couldn't say he disliked the girl, he hadn't interacted enough with her, but he could tell she liked being the center of attention whenever she got the chance. Although, plenty of other students liked to as well, so he couldn't blame her for it. "Y'know, typically when someone addresses a person they don't talk to often, they start with a 'hi' or 'hello'." Cronis said with a raised eyebrow and a smirk starting to curl the ends of his lips upward.
"Just because I don't recall ever being good friends." he added, avoiding her question. They might have been housemates and in the same year, but Cronis had never gone out of his way to speak to her, nor had she from what he could remember.
