Darcy half-shrugged dramatically, to show what she thought of all this.
"No, y' don't get it," she complained. "They're not just stories, they're like... backstory."
Obviously, people who'd been brought up in the Wizarding World got so used to the weirdness, they just stopped noticing after a while. Probably to their detriment.
"Do you just not read books?" she asked. "Or watch TV? Or play video games?"
She knew the last two were unlikely. An Introduction to the Wizarding World had been very emphatic on how electricity didn't work near magic. Almost like they were proud.
"Everyone knows that when a location has a name like The Forbidden Forest, you're going to end up there eventually. And when there are stories about The Forbidden Forest, you're almost certainly going to meet whatever those stories are about," she lectured.
"So you'd better hurry up and tell us them, because monsters doesn't sound promising."
She eyed Goose. Their tour guide, maybe? Well, hopefully this was just a small mission to level up, so to speak, and they wouldn't have to kill any zombies before it was over.
