OWL Level Class 1

Tori entered the Astronomy Tower. None of her students had arrived yet. She walked to the blackboard and wrote on it O.W.L. The students that would be arriving soon were going to have to embrace and prepare for their OWLs.

Sarah walked into the Astoronomy class arroogant just muttering quick "Morning!" as always.

Davina entered the Astronomy Tower, ready for her first lesson. She couldn't wait, she had enjoyed Astronomy as it was completely different to all of her other subjects, not that she didn't like them, but it was nice to have some variation.
She sat at a desk at the front of the classroom, and waited for more students to arrive.

(Evan walked into the room with new robes and these didn't itch. Finnally something that doesn't make him want to itch so much. He looked at the blackboard and then towards the seats. He sat somewhere in the middle and got his stuff out passing a nearby glace at the other people in the room. Only guy here? he wondered to himself)

Rose walked into the Astronomy Tower ans smiled. She loved Astronomy because she loved the way the sky looked at night and what else was in the sky. As she tooked her seat in the middle of the classroom she started taking out her things and setting them neatly on her desk. As she waited to see if more people were going to show up she started playing with her quill boredly.

Will looked around class and saw that a few student had arrived. "Well this evening class we are going to start with a basic exercise. Grab a telescope and go to a window. I want you to look at the sky and sketch what you see. Then we well label and discuss."

Davina was the first person to get her telescope out. She walked over towards the massive windows, and quickly set it up. She wasn't exactly sure what she was meant to be looking for. She got out a piece of paper to draw the night sky onto. She opened her text book so she could refer to anything if she needed to.

"We are looking for what you see in the sky. Such as the consellations, metors, moons or anything else." Will said noticing the confusion some of her students where having.

Davina palced her piece of paper down on the ground beside her telescope. She put her eye to the telescope and focussed it on one small section of the grand night sky. She found the sky truly amazing, that there was so much outside of their tiny planet that they had no idea about.
She saw a strange constellation in the sky, so she tried to copy it down. It was hard to get the proportions exactly right on her drawing, but she did manage to do a pretty good job of it. She wasn't quite sure what it was when she had finished her drawing. Before asking the teacher, she decided to look it up in her textbook. That was what the textbook was for, after all; she thought to herself as she skimmed through the pages. She couldn't find the constellation for ages, until she got to the very end of the book.
"Aha," she muttered quietly to herself as she found the constellation that matched her drawing. It was a pretty good match, she thought. It was the constellation of virgo. She wondered what it meant.

Professor Kavanagh walked over to where Davina stood scetching out her chart. "Good job Miss Corrispur. 10 points." She turned around to look through the rest of class. Seems like most had started loosing intrest.

"Ok class. We need to be wrapping this up. Class is almost over." Professor told everyone.
