"Well," Hermione declared upon appearing and catching Percy's comments, "if he doesn't, he'll get quite a talking to."
She sank down in the chair next to Teddy, passing him a look that should've been a reassuring smile but instead made her look concerned - which, to be fair, she absolutely was. If anyone in that room wasn't worried, Hermione was pretty sure they didn't belong in the Order. But as she looked around, it didn't seem to be a problem.
At any rate, she put two objects down on the table: one was a cheesy, plastic ring one might buy at a store, which she had enlarged so they could all hold onto it when the time came. The other was a rolled up piece of string, which made up an impressively-sized oblong shape. Unrolled when it was, Hermione had to believe it would be long enough for each person to get their hand on it. Especially with shockingly few Order members being present to join them.
"Percy," she began, bringing her eyebrows down a bit in thought, "what are your thoughts on wrapping this," she held up the yarn, "around the train? I can't say I've ever tried something like it before, but say we got everyone onboard. Would the portkey take everything with it? I've had the string charmed to take us to the platform, in hopes that it can work, but that's quite a risk. I do believe that it's long enough for everyone, but we've no way of knowing about the Ilvermorny students or anything like that."
