GENERAL APPEARANCE: Raphael likes to keep his appearance neat, tidy, and classy. He loves to play with his soft chestnut brown hair, and loves to have others play with it as well. He keeps his hair short but long enough to run his fingers through. His eyes are a soft blue like his mother's, and he can often be found with a big smile on his face, when he's not intensely focused on something. Raphael likes to wear a white tee, jeans, and sneakers when he's not in uniform, usually with a flair of some kind that represents his house, Gryffindor.

EARLY YEARS:
When Gabrielle had her second baby with Hubert Cage, she discovered that he had been cheating on her for years. This brought pain, negativity, and frustration into the family until he couldn't take it anymore and divorced Gabrielle to be with his mistress. This forced the role of single-motherhood upon Gabrielle. Although she tried her best to do things on her own, her sister's family tried to fill in the holes for the children where they could. Thus Raphael and his sister grew up without a real father in their home. Raphael caught on at an early age that his mother needed help around the house, and tried his best to help his sister and mother. When he received his letter of acceptance to Hogwarts, Raphael was excited to see a new chapter in his life, but also disappointed that he would have to leave his mother and sister.

HOGWARTS YEARS: 11-year-old Raphael happily accepted his placement into Gryffindor, happy to be placed in the same house as his Weasley cousins. He quickly made friends with his outgoing nature. In his third year, Raphael

well, we have no other delacours that are active right now, so you wouldn't have to check with them for backstory. however, we have a ridiculous amount of weasleys. how connected do you want him to be with the weasleys? the reason i ask is that if you're going to have much of a connection to them, you should talk to jack about making sense of his backstory with them, since she has most of the weasleys.

I'll let Khaat take the lead on sorting this, but I think I got confusing when I tried to explain the Veela stuff in the cbox, so maybe this will be more concise:

Gabrielle Delacour is 1/4 Veela, which means that Raph will be 1/8. After about 1/4 Veela, the whole pull that Veelas have, making people drawn to them and that sort of thing, is pretty weak. So while he may have made the decision to be romantically active in his Hogwarts years, the Veela thing probably was only a small part of why that happened/worked.

And Khaat's right. For plotting, being involved with the Weasley family and Dom and Victoire (Fleur and Bill's kids) will be super helpful.

I think he's fine, and I'm fine with him being a Gryffindor. As far as his interest in romance, Addie's right about the veela genetics being small in his system. However, if he were raised around more veelas, like his mother, his grandmother, etc. he may have been exposed to more of a veela oriented environment and that might well have influenced his interests. Its food for thought, anyway.
