A calico cat curled up in the part-veela's lap and as Raphael's eyes sleepily blinked, he petted his cute little Muffin. Well, Muffin wasn't as little as he used to be, but he was still as cute as ever, at least in Raphael's eyes. The cat was actually rather large for a cat - not quite fat, but large in size, and very heavy. It could be rather scary if it needed to. Sometimes he acted as a protector of Raphael, hissing at those seemingly unfriendly to it's owner. Not that Raph needed protection, he was studying hard in his classes, making sure he could cast spells proficiently in preparation for NEWTs and also, well, life. Because he only had two years left at Hogwarts, and then he would be gone. No more classes, no more Gryffindor common room, no more professors, no more Gryffindor Quidditch team.
Raphael had not gotten much sleep the night before. His cat was warm in his lap and felt soft. He began to doze off, snoring slightly - until he jolted up as he heard a sudden noise. Muffin meowed loudly and jumped away, only to curl up in a corner on the other side of the compartment.
Oh, it was just the compartment door opening. Raphael rubbed his eyes and looked up grumpily at whomever had interrupted his alone time, and very very important beauty sleep time.
