One of the downsides of being Head Girl was prefect duties, and Liesl had a lot of them. It meant she forewent her lunch hour to patrol the school grounds and ensure the other students weren't breaking rules. So long as they weren't Slytherin students, that is.
The upside was situations like this. Liesl had just seen Michelle Cuffe walk into the Forbidden Forest. As Michelle was a Slytherin, Liesl had no compunctions about following her.
Though they were in the same year, Liesl didn't know Michelle well. The other girl was quiet, shy and had few friends. Liesl was loud and gregarious. Michelle had never shown any interest in the Dark Followers, either, so the two had little reason to know one-another beyond sharing a common room and a few classes.
Presently, Liesl entered a small clearing where Michelle was sitting on a log. Though it could only be called a clearing because the tree that had fallen had cleared smaller trees on its path downwards.
"Hello, Michelle," Liesl said, crossing to stand in front of her housemate. She didn't particularly want to ruin her clothes by sitting on a half-rotted tree.
"Tough day?"
