GENERAL APPEARANCE: Mes has blue eyes, brown hair, and is actually a little bit shorter than his twin (which he hates to admit). His eyes crinkle up at the sides when he smiles genuinely, but he is actually quite good at intimidating people with just a glare when he needs to. He doesn't like being clean-shaven because he feels it makes him look like a child, which isn't great when he is an employer and needs to be able to pull of those intimidating looks. He dresses a little bit too nicely all the time, which can irk some people, but the only real exception is when he's going to sleep or for a run.

EARLY YEARS:
[taken from Kit's app: "As one could expect of a member of the Sacred Twenty-Eight families, Katherine’s grandfather, Gresham, was the closest one could be to being on good terms with Tom Marvolo Riddle. Their path rapidly became one of dark decisions and wrong turns. He quickly joined up with the Death Eaters, though Kit’s father would tell you that the man did it partly for protection. As much as her grandfather believed that Purebloods were special – and, indeed, he grew up in the correct time to think so, considering the Pureblood Dictionary came out in the 1930s – it took a bit of convincing before he was sure that the Death Eaters’ mission was one he agreed with.

From then on, it was all about completing that mission and doing as his leader required of him. By the time Winston was born, things had fallen apart. Mesut always hated his name. His middle name wasn't any better. So he told everyone to just call him Mes, and nothing has changed over the years. He was the eldest son, the clichéd eldest who was expected to do the thing and do that thing just as he was told. Luke wasn't sent through the lessons Winston put Mes through, but that meant that the elder brother was inevitably more prepared for Hogwarts, and naturally felt that he might be a bit more intelligent than his younger brother.

When Katherine was born, there was something almost curious brewing between the two brothers. Lucas had become the more rebellious one, the colder and less caring one. Kit was the exception to that rule, likely because Luke wanted their sister to like him best considering neither of their parents did. Gemma had instilled in them all that duty to tradition was more important than their own wishes, because it would protect their family. But Lucas wasn't sure he agreed with that.

HOGWARTS YEARS:
Slytherin house claimed him almost immediately, perhaps recognizing his attention to tradition, his love of advancement and knowledge, and all of that adding up to ambition. Perhaps surprisingly, he did not go for Quidditch during his time there, instead choosing to go for runs in order to get rid of his stress.

His grades, almost obviously, were better that Luke's, as was his track record with the professors and staff. Summers weren't even Mesut's favorites, because he made great friends and felt like his time at the school was important. He was rather sorry to graduate, but he spent a couple of years working for his father before leaving for university.

ADULTHOOD:
When Luke started a relationship with Victoire Weasley, his family was - understandably - astounded. Mes couldn't believe that his brother had finally taken to someone genuinely, and was determined to help it along as best as he could. But the marriage law came along and the elder twin was out of the country to attend university for business and marketing. Luke abandoned Victoire without warning, and Winston used money and his Death Eater connections to intimidate Ana Levski and get the boys out of the drawing for matches.

Mes regrets the fact that he wasn't there to check in on Vic, considering how well he liked her, but he is far more invested in taking care of his sister since their father absolutely refuses to go to hospitals. Mes would argue that their father doesn't want to accept his mortality, but that's a bit too deep for Winston, he figures.

Now, he's working for the family company and considering getting in touch with Lily Potter again. The Gryffindor had been there for his sister when no-one else was, and the gift he gave her at graduation seemed like a trifle comparatively.
