You could have Potter's not related to Harry, as it's not like a unique surname, it's pretty common.

everyone as in everyone is in on the plot, and knows what's going on because i've seen some private plot-related threads that only changed people's relationships, rather then furthering the plot

It'll be pretty hard to fit EVERYONE into the plot, I wrote the original one & when you make it fit everyone's without writing, as Darren says, "a novel" it takes work.
