What are we doing?

"I go to watch the kids in their games at Hogwarts. This year Adela is a seeker like her mother was, Quincy is a keeper. Depending on how their games go I have a different experience. Mostly its exciting." he tried to answer her question the best he could. "my feelings are so conflicted when they play each other. Part of me is proud of the child who won the other part disappointed in the other who lost." after tasting the beef stew Noah smiled up at Esme. "You have a very good taste in food Esmeralda." he said useing her full first name for the first time since their dinner had begun

"Your children sound very talented. It sounds exciting to watch your children play." She said as she thought about what it would be like to see a quidditch match. "Yeah but you know that they would have played to the best of their ability. So there's that to be proud of that even though one lost they played as best as they could given the circumstances." She smiled when he said that she had good taste in food. "It's the one other thing that I like on the menu which I find tastes very good." She said thinking to herself that she only liked it because she had particular tastes when it came to food. She wasn't picky but she liked having a meal where the flavors were well balanced.

"Yes they always give it their all." Noah agreed and watched Esme quietly as she smiled and thanked him. "Don't think me," He murmured. "I should be thanking you. I am lucky enough to get to spend the night with a woman with a pretty smile and a good taste in food." he complimented her with a soft smile "So thank you so very much Ms. Martinez." he took a sip of his wine and finished his food before he spoke again. "Would you like to order some desert, or maybe we could go for a walk before i escort you home?" he asked. It was getting late and wouldn't be letting the younger woman go to far on her own.

Esme looked at him when he said not to thank him. She was confused then his next words made her blush. "I think I'm lucky as well. You are a really good guy and this is the best date I've had in a while. You are very kind and a complete gentlemen." She said smiling at him taking a drink of water from her other glass. Finishing off the last of her own food, she used to the napkin to wipe her mouth. "A walk sounds really good especially after such a good meal." She said with taking another drink of water as waiter cleared their plates away.

Well that was that, they were to go for a walk. So Noah paid for the their meal and stood offering a helping hand to Esme. "I'm glad you are enjoying yourself." he smiled as he escorted the way to the door which he once again opened allowing her to go first.
This was the by far the easiest date he had in a while, as well as the nicest, and he was interested in seeing if there could be a second where he could better to get to know Ms. Martinez. "lead the way?" he asked tilting his head to the side slightly a smile still on his face.

Esme took his offered hand and smiled at him softly. She liked how much of a gentlemen that he was. She followed him and walked out of the door he opened for them. "Thank you." She said as took in the night air with a smile. When he said to lead the way she went to the right. "It's kinda easy to enjoy yourself when your with good company." She said honestly wanting to know more about him. She only hoped that this didn't end at one date. She had a lot of fun with him and wanted to see where this could go.

They walked along the cobblestones of Diagon Alley. "What do you like to do for fun?" She asked looking at him with curious eyes.

"I don't have fun anymore," Noah said looking down at Esme as they walked sticking his hands deep in his pants pockets. "I stopped having fun when Agatha passed away. She was my happiness" he looked down at his feet as they walked. He looked back up at Esme. "But before that i use to read and write poetry. I also played Quidditch myself when I was in school." He may not have much of a present but he had a very extensive past he could talk about. "I was a Chaser. I know you didn't know much about quidditch before but maybe i can take you to a game sometime?" he asked

Esme didn't know what to say to his words about not having fun anymore after his wife passed. Instead of saying anything she simply put a hand on his shoulder softly giving it a slight squeeze. "Really? What was your favorite poem? Well maybe that's why your children are so good. They learned it all from you." She said with a smile as they continued to walk along the street. She smiled at his invitation and said, "I would like that. Maybe you can give me everything I would need to know about Quidditch. That way I can keep up with the game and not get lost trying to figure it out myself."
