You Again

Riyan had returned home from Hogwarts for the day as there were no classes and the corridors were covered for the time. She gave a slight smile as she walked up to the front door of her apartment building. It was nice to be home even if it was just fora short while. 
The skirt of her pale blue sundress swished as she walked over to the elevator as her apartment was on the third floor of the complex. 
She liked it here among the muggles. It was quiet and not many people knew her as she stayed inside most of the time doing research on her daughter. She felt like she was getting closer every time she looked to finding that sweet beautiful baby, though she wasn't much of a baby anymore as it had been five years since Riyan's mother had taken the little girl out of her arms and placed her in the arms of a nurse that carried her off. 
A tear came to Riy's eyes as she though of that distant day that almost seemed more and more surreal as time passed by, almost if if had all been a dream.

This was a bit weird for the Auror office to have a early day, it was usually a late night filled with paperwork, although he wasn't complaining. He had the rest of the day to himself to do whatever he wanted, after a shower and cleaning up, Calvin went out to the cafe down the street to get some food for him to eat. After a few hours of hours of reading and multiple cups of tea, Calvin decided it was time to head home. Although he really didn't, but he had to get ready for the next day, and he had some paperwork to do. 


Walking down the street of London, he smiled to himself, he decided mind being around muggles, it was peaceful and relaxing compared in the wizarding world at times. Calvin reached his apartment building walking in before the elevators to go to his apartment. Waiting beside a woman with blonde hair, Calvin noticed that she looked familiar. 'Nah..you're just thinking that it's her, you haven't seen her since your seventh year at Hogwarts, snap out of it! 'his conscience told him. Although he couldn't shake the feeling off. Calvin looked at her curiously his blue eyes looking at her. " Riyan is that you? It's me Calvin. " said Calvin. He hoped that it was her, he didn't want to feel like a idiot talking to a stranger.

Riyan froze when she heard her name. The sound of his voice brought back so many memories, from the first time they met to their first date, to their last conversation. "Calvin?" She turned to look at him, to find it really was him. "Umm I've got to go." she said and hurriedly trotted off toward the stairs. she had hopped that she could make it to her apartment before he had the chance to fallow her but her clumsiness got the better of her, as she fell face first to the floor right before the door clearly marked stairs. "Oh grate." She murmured grumpily to herself as she tried to get back up and continue on her way

Calvin sighed as she took off running towards the stairs, 'Why does she always have to run from me? he thought to himself sighing. " Riyan wait! "said Calvin as he took off after her, he wasn't going to lose her again, now when he found her. Reaching the corner, he seen that she fell face foward on the floor. " Riyan!"said Calvin running towards her. " Why are you running from you Riys?"Calvin asked her his blue eyes looking into hers sadly. " I wrote you almost every day after I graduated, not one letter did you reply to, after we made love to one another after I told you that I didn't want to leave Hogwarts, you just disappeared like a month later and I never saw you again. " said Calvin sadly.  


Calvin looked down and seen that she looked to have a sprained or twisted ankle, he couldn't do anything here, he had to take her back to his apartment. Picking her up in his arms he looked at her as he felt her squirming in his arms. "Riys please don't ok? just let me help you like I always used to do when you fell. " said Calvin. Carrying her back to the elevators which opened he shifted her as he pushed the third floor button. Landing on the third floor, he walked towards his apartment. " My keys are in my pocket, can you get them for me and unlock the door please? "Calvin asked her.

"Cal, I can't," Riyan tried to protest though she knew it was useless, and allowed herself to rest in his arms allowing him to carry her toward the elevator.. The feeling would have been comforting if she wasn't so sure he was going to hate her if she ever told him the truth. "We live on the same floor..." She murured reaching into his pocket to get the key as he had asked her to do.
So many feelings were welling up inside of Riyan. She didn't know weither to smile happy to be back in Calvin's arms again, or to cry for the same reason.
'I really need to get going, Calvin. I have some things I have to take care of before going back to Hogwarts." she said.

Calvin sighed and shook his head. " You can Riys, just please stop trying to run from me ok, why are you running from me anyways? "Calvin asked her. He missed having her in his arms again, it felt like eternity since she was in his arms, it felt like heaven to him. Calvin looked down at her as she said that they live on the same floor, Calvin looked down at her confused. " We do? "Calvin asked her as he lead her into his apartment and shut the door behind him with his foot. Setting her down on the couch, he took out his wand and did a simple healing spell on it. Calvin shook his head. " Riys please don't, please stay here with me please, I miss you. " said Calvin

"Yes, we do. I'm at the other end of the hall." Se answered quietly. She continued to avoid his question as to why she was running from him. Avoiding telling him her secret. "Thank you for your help Calvin, but if I stay all I'm going to do is hurt you." Her vision was becoming blurry with tears, as she looked at Calvin again. "I miss you too." She whispered.
It had been Five years since they had last seen each other, five years since she had his little girl, five years she'd spent running, and five years she had spent searching. Five years was way to long for any of it.

"Wow...you been down the hall all this time, and I didn't know that you were? "Calvin asked her shaking his head. Calvin noticed that she was avoiding his question of why she was running from him and why she kept running from him. " Riys, you're avoiding my question, why do you keep running from me? "Calvin asked her. " How are you going to hurt me Riyan? I been hurt for years due to you leaving."said Calvin sadly but honestly. " If you missed me as well, why are you running and turning away from me? Damn it Riyan, I love you and I always will!"said Calvin. 


" If you missed me Riys, then stop running from me, let me love you. " said Calvin as he cupped her face in his hands before he kissed her softly on the lips. Five years since he saw her, touched her or even kissed her.

"You'll hate me if I told you the truth," she whispered, "I don't want you..." Her words were cut off as he pressed his lips aginst hers. Her body whole body relaxed out of instinct as she kissed him back her hand reaching up to touch his face. 
"Calvin," she murmured looking him directly in the eye, "I'd rather you loved me and missed me, and hate me and never want to see me. I'd rather miss you every day than for you to have to go though that. For you to know why." The pain and sadness clear in Riyan's eyes as a single tear rolled down her cheek. "I love you, but I need you to understand, please." She whispered. " I do it for you. "

If he kept pressing the matter Riyan would have no choice to tell him about the baby girl with the blue eyes and the dark whispy hair who she had named Emilie Penelope just as she was pulled out of her arms and taken away after just a moment, that would have never been long enough.

Calvin looked at her confused. " Riys what are you talking about, why would I hate you? Calvin askedher cconfusion in his blue eyes. Calvin smiled as she kissed him back, after all these years, he wanted nothing more then to feel her against him once again. Calvin looked at her still confused. " Riys you know that I'll never hate you no matter what happens, I love you more then anything else in the world, and I always will. " said Calvin kissing the top of her head. Calvin cupped her face and brushed her tears away with his thumbs. " I won't understand if you won't tell me Riys, you just can't keep running from me. " said Calvin softly but honestly.  



Calvin knew that she was hiding something from him, he just didn't know what, he wanted to know why she been running from him the last five years. " Riys please, just let us be together please, I don't think I can keep living without you in my life you complete me. " said Calvin honestly.
