Dangerous game

The sun is now shining so strong that it was almost unbearable.
However, that did not stop Slytherin students to maintain their training here; Mia insisted to start training again right away in order so they could be in good shape.

The training was hard. Students were out of shape because of previous holidays, and the sun is further hampered game.
However, after an hour, the training is completed.
Mia was completely wet, but did not immediately go to her house.
Instead, she sat down on the grass at the stadium and from her gym bag took out a cigarettes.

Smoking is forbidden here, of course, as in other parts of the school but she does not care for the rules anyway. She lit a cigarette, watching the smoke disappear in air. She looked around, professors were not there. In fact, here is the most loved to smoke because they are professors rarely hanging around and she could be quiet.

Athena wasn't the one for flying, she was absolutely terrified of it, but watching a good game of Quidditch was fun. Athena stood in the stands watching team after team practice for the upcoming Quidditch games that were coming up, it was going to be a another brutal year once Gryffindor and Slytherin played, they didn't know how to play a fair game. It was also going to be a brutal week, the Gryffindor and Slytherins were going to be at each other's throats, and fights will happen. Athena remembered last year that it happened, it was the talk around school for weeks, it was quite annoying in all honesty. 


Athena who stood in the stands watching people go there separate ways, sat there drinking her hot chocolate, warming herself up. It was no longer summer time and the weather was rather nippy now, good thing Gryffindor common room always had a roaring welcoming fire as well as Vaughn to warm her up. Walking out of the stands towards the ground and pitch area, Athena stopped dead in her tracks and frowned at the sight before her, her long time friend Dariela was pulling cigarettes from her gym back. Athena looked at her and sighed knowing that she didn't care what people thought, but Athena knew that she was doing it to act out, why she didn't know. 


" You know smoking is bad for you Dares, I don't know how you smoke that stuff, the smoke smells horrible! "said Athena honestly. " Come on Dares, you don't need to do all this stuff, why are you doing it? "Athena asked her frowning. " You're better then this, so stop trying to put on a show and cut free, stop being a damn bloody puppet on strings! "said Athena. Since she started dating Vaughn, she became more open and out going, he was really changing her and making her out going.

She heard a voice full of disapproval, and turned to her long-time friend.
"Come on Thena, do not immediately grumble. After all, I smoke because I love it," she shook her head, looking at her. Athena is too good person, Mia sometimes does not understand how they socialize with each other at all. Thena is a friendly person who looks for the best in everyone and Mia ... Well, Mia was just Mia.

"And for God's sake, do not call me Dares, it's almost as bad as my real name," she rolled her eyes while she dragged smoke on a cigarette, blowing it in Athena's direction, and then, laughing merrily.
"Come on, come hug a friend, and I missed you, you know, while you are with that guy I do not see you anymore," she shook her head disapproving. Mia is a person who does not believe in love, every relationship is just fun. In addition, she is bisexual, becoming even more hopeless.

"I guess you saw training?" looked at Athena.
"You know, you should overcome your fear of flying and join the team, it would be so much fun if you and I were rivals," smiled mischievously. Mia was known as the deadly player, always too harsh and unfair, but because of that she is the best in her team.

Athena looked at Dariela and sighed, "Loving it or not, it's a disgusting and bad habit! "said Athena honestly shaking her head. People didn't get how Athena was friends with Dariela, but she seen good in her, even when others couldn't or herself. Athena seen the good in everyone, and tried bringing the best in others, it was just the way she was.  


Athena looked at her and smirked at her, she only called her that to annoy her and rattled her chain, Athena was a very shy girl but around Dariela she wasn't. Athena coughed and waved the smoke away from her face, before glaring at her best friend. " Oh come on Dar-I mean Mia, you know that isn't true, I still love you! "said Athena hugging her. Although Dariela knew like a best friend like sister type of love, Athena was straighter then a board. "I actually like him alot though, he's very sweet and caring, and you know that I never really had a boyfriend before due to me being so shy. " said Athena honestly.  


Athena nodded. " Indeed I did, everyone is training so hard for the upcoming matches. " said Athena honestly. Athena eyes widened as she shook her head. " I don't kmow about that, I don't think I'll ever get over the fear of flying on a broom. " said Athena honestly. " Plus I seen how you play, and I want to live thank you. " said Athena.

"Actually, I'm just fine with that habit" is smiled provoking. Athena is one of the few who managed to find some disgustingly good qualities in Mia. She is probably the only one who dares to honestly talk to her too. However, Mia loves her more than her sister.

"Do not laugh, you know I hate everything about that name!" failed to keep a straight face and laughed at herself. She never really could not get mad at Athena.
"Oh do not worry, I know you love me," she laughed and hugged her.
"Well, tell me all about him. I want to know every detail," smiled happily as she watched her best friend. Athena is really looked happy and Mia was happy about that.
She nodded "Unfortunately, you're so shy in addition to other people that do not even help you the fact that you hang out with the infamous Mia McLaggen." she shook her head, smiling.

"Of course, do not diminish the importance of the game and I do not care if you're stupid Gryffindor, I want you to cheer for me!" she said, laughing. The only thing Mia really enjoyed is Quidditch. It's actually the only thing that aroused the passion in her.
She laughed at Athena's comment "Well, I'll take that as a compliment. I'm sure you just want to say I'm the best player you've ever seen."

Athena raised her eyebrows at her best friend. "You know each time you smoke one of those disgusting things, you're throwing away ten seconds of your life?"Athena asked her sighing. "Although I suppose it's better then the other stuff you could do,I'm glad you're not doing drugs or are you?"Athena asked her. Athena knew that there was good in Dares, even if she didn't see it herself.


Athena smirked at her. "You know you love me calling you that, you just pretend to hate it, but you love it!"said Athena giving her a cheeky smile. Athena laughed and hugged her back. "Of course I love you Dares."said Athena saying that nickname on purpose to annoy her.


Athena smiled. "He's extremely sweet and caring Dares, he's so brave and rebellious I just love it, he brings me out of my shyness and makes me want to be bad, and I gotten my first and ever detention with him!"said Athena happily. "I'm sure you heard all about what happened down by the lake and forest, the whole school basically knows."said Athena honesty. Athena laughed. "I don't think I'm going to be that shy anymore, you and Vaughn are getting me out of it."said Athena.


Athena laughed. "You know that I always cheer for you Dares, you're my best friend!'said Athena honestly. "You're the best I seen here, but my cousin Kace is amazing at flying and quidditch, could have been a professional if he didn't decide to become a Auror."said Athena.

"I know," she laughed merrily.
"But look at the bright side, I'm gonna die young, which means my body will look phenomenal" pulled another cigarette smoke before she looked at her best friend.
She shook her head in disgust, "I do not like drugs, I love when I'm sane," she nodded.

"In fact, I hate it," she shook her head, laughing when Athena hugged her.
When she heard that nickname again, over-sighed and rolled her eyes.
"You're killing me Then, really."

She turned suddenly wide-eyed. Her cute, sweet, innocent, Athena was in the punishments.
"Your first punishment? I'm so proud of you!" she said with delight and clapped her hands cheerfully.
"Okay,I already love him!" she laughed.

"Ah, yes, you told me about him. I think I already mentioned that I want to marry him, you told me he is unbelievable sweet," she laughed.
"Oh yes, I almost forgot, speaking of pathetic and love, I'm in relationship, this time with boy and not with a girl," she smiled mischievously.

Athena looked at her and rolled her eyes at her. "I don't know why you would like to die early, I would like to live a long happy life."said Athena. As she pulled out another cigarette, Athena shook her head sighing. "I'm glad that you don't, smell more disgusting then smoking or so I heard."said Athena.


Athena laughed. "Then why are you laughing if you hate it? most people wouldn't laugh at a name they hate."said Athena pointly. Athena looked at her innocently. "What? Just calling my best friend by her nickname since god knows when."said Athena smirking at her.


Athena giggled and nodded. "It actually wasn't bad, quite boring and pathetic, I cleaned the hospital wing beds with Vaughn."said Athena. Athena laughed. "I knew that you would!"said Athena smiling happily. "Although be on the look out for Dakota Rose from your house, she hates me, thinks that I took Vaughn away from her when she left him."said Athena.


Athena laughed. "Why does everyone want to marry him? I don't get it!"said Athena. "He's unbelievably sweet, like candy!"said Athena giggling. Athena looked at her shock and then smiled. "Oh really, who's the lucky guy who caught my best friends attention?"Athena asked her smiling.

"A long and happy life? It is so overrated!" she shook her head.
"Do not worry, I do not want to die from drugs," she laughed as she looked at her best friend.

"My nickname is Mia, and you very well know that. You call me Dares just to annoy me," said Mia but still smiled. She knew that Athena will not stop with this name as much as it annoyed. So she stopped be angry.

"Why I hoped it would be a good punishment? Why? I knew it was impossible that you really get in trouble!" Mia shook her head with a smile on her face. This is all very amusing.
"Dakota? You want me to kill that B****? You know I can. Even I do not need magic!" Mia said angrily. The only person who has the right to provoke Athena is Mia, not that girl.
"So what if you are with her boyfriend? You know, in real life the strongest survive," said Mia wisely. For her, there was nothing new stealing guys, she does it all the time.

"Because he's beautiful! Please, please tell me he's still single. I know that he is waiting for me!" she started laughing merrily. If she find out he has a girl, she was probably be disappointed.
"Actually, I think you know him. He is Gryffindor and only a year older than you. His name is Danny Sinclair," she laughed merrily.

Athena raised her eyebrows at her best friend. "It's not overrated it's a amazing thought I think!"said Athena honesty. Athena nodded. "Good that's one thing I don't have to worry about killing you."said Athena honestly but playfully.


Athena looked at her and shrugged. "But I like Dares better, it suites your personality."said Athena innocently before smirking at her. Of course Athena wasn't going to stop, she was like that annoying but lovable little sister to her, and she knew that no matter how much it annoyed her she loved Athena to pieces.


Athena laughed. "I just gotten in trouble for following him down to the forest, gotten a detention and house points lost."said Athena shrugging as if it wasn't no big deal. "She just getting really annoying to us Dares, trying to make me appear to be the bad guy or shall I say girl, she was the one who showed her true colors and lost him so its no one fault but hers!"said Athena her eyes turning a dark blue in hate and anger. "I totally agree, but she hates me for no reason, it's stupid and ridiculous!"said Athena honestly.


Athena laughed. "I think every girl I met said that about him, I'm not surprise if he's not half veela or something by the way he attracts girls."said Athena laughing. "I think he's a taken guy now, he's sure happy alot!"said Athena noticing her cousins happy behavior. Athena gasped as she told her who she was dating. "Dares you don't want to date him trust me, he isn't good for you."said Athena honestly. Athena never lied to her best friend and sure wasn't going to start now.
