For some reason that answer brought another smile to her face. Adela seemed to be very nice if she helped people of the likes of Ophelia.
Why was she in Slytherin? Pureblood lineage? Being a bad judge, she guessed it was so for the girl did not look anything like the others she had just encountered. She was nice and sincere -- something the world lacked.

This was what Ophelia did not have. An older brother or sister who'd take care of her in the time of need. But at what was Adela hinting? Did she really offer herself as her protector?

She crossed her legs and looked at her boots; they were dirty from the fall, brown mud adorning its tips. For the first time during their sudden meeting Ophelia had nothing to say, neither was she brave enough yet to start looking and observing Adele yet.
