He smiled, glad to see her, and he kissed her back when she kissed him. "Prawns," he smiled, "Had to go to Tuscany for some seafood for tonight. Change of menu plans. Wish I'd had time to stay a bit, but, oh well, we'll get a chance to go back. Anyway, the prawns were the best of the lot. I saved out the best of the best for us.I presume you've cooked prawns before, yes?"
If she hadn't, he knew he could certainly manage. "The walk in refrigerator quit working. So, I had to order all new perishables and fresh fruit and vegetables. I should be able to get the order from the suppliers tomorrow, but I had to go to Tuscany for just enough to get through the night and through breakfast until the suppliers come. So, thats why I went to Tuscan. Just quick trip over and back."
"She hasn't said a word to me," He said. "But if we get time later, maybe I'll take her on a walk or or something. A party at your mother's, huh?" he said. "Well, I'm sure it'll nice, but your parents haven't met me. And right now Rose's party is more important. Not that I don't want to meet them, but I'm not worried. We've got time for that. Are you sure they're ready to know that you're with a guy that takes some of the chances I do? That's not always easy for parents to hear, you know. There are lots of aurors who are single because their dates' parents think aurors are nice guys but surely girls could find someone safer." It made him smile a little. In the wizarding world, truth be told, there weren't very many safe things. Not anywhere.
