What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Planning a party Empty Planning a party

Post by Isobella Donohue Wed Aug 26, 2015 4:28 pm

Isobella put on a pair of dark blue jeans with a cream and flower top and her short high heeled boots. She went into Rose's room to see what she was doing and if she was dressed yet, she walked in and smiled at her daughter. Rose was wearing her favorite pink spaghetti strap dress with a white short sleeved breathable sweater. She slipped on a pair of white dress shoes before turning and smiling at her mom.

"You look so pretty sweetheart. Is this the new dress I bought you?" Bella asked bending down so she was eye level with her daughter.

"Yes mommy. Do you think grandma will like it?" Rose asked softly looking at the dress and smoothing out invisible wrinkles from it.

Knowing this was a nervous tick Bella took her daughter's hand, "Yes baby grandma will love it." She said as she lead her daughter out of the room and towards the front door.

She still couldn't believe that she was living with the Lupins and that everything seemed like it was falling into place. She opened the front door of the house letting Rose go out before her then walked out locking the door behind her. She checked to make sure she had everything she needed before grabbing Rose's hand and using the porkey that Angus made for her to take them to her mother's house.

They landed on the back patio of the house that was away from prying eyes before her mother came walking out of the house.

"Grandma!" Rose shouted as she took off towards her, her arms open wide to give her grandmother a hug.

"Oh I've missed you too my sweet little Rose." Jennifer said smiling at Rose. "Why don't you go inside and say hello to your grandfather? I wanna speak with your mother for a moment."

Rose nodded and ran inside to talk with her grandpa, while Bella's mother turned to look at Bella.

"Before you say anything mom, yes I'm still dating him and that's not gonna change anytime soon. Rose likes him and he likes Rose, he's a good man to both of us." She said taking a moment for that to sink in. "I'm in love with him and I'm happy so please butt out."

Her mother started laughing so hard she was crying, "I'm sorry." She held up a finger signaling Bella to give her a minute. Finally she composed herself and stood up straight. "Ok, sorry. Honey the only thing I was gonna ask is how you were. I was never going to say anything about your gentleman. The fact that you volunteered all of this us funny."

Bella shook her head as her mother looked like she was about to crack into another smile. "Ok you'll watch Rose for a few hours so I can plan her birthday party. We are having it on Saturday so make sure you remember. She is not to know we are throwing her a surprise party ok?" She gave her mother a firm look that said she meant business.

Her mother started laughing again but nodded her agreement, holding up her hands in surrender.

Shaking her head again she looked at her mother full in the face, "ok who slipped you a happy pill? Wait did dad finally retire from work is that why your so happy?" She asked gauging her mother's reaction.

"Yes, he will finally be home more with me and maybe we will finally be able to take that vacation he promised me." Her mother said with a smile before looking back at the house. "Well if your going to be planning this party you better hop to it and get it done. Go, go before she comes out and tries to figure out what you are plotting." Her mother made a shooing sign with her hands as she walked back towards the house.

Bella laughed and said to herself, "There she is. Bossy as usual." She walked out her mother's front gate and was met by one of the security staff. She sighed knowing that her mother was assigned him to her for her little trip today. "Well since your going to be my shadow you'll have to keep up." She said to the man who just curtly nodded and followed her to the stores that she needed to go to.

It was three o'clock by the time that Bella was done with everything and had it all back at the house. She looked at the bags and tried to figure out a place to hide everything so Rose wouldn't find them. She then smiled remembering Rose didn't like the attic area and decided that was the perfect place to put everything. Walking up the stairs with all the bags and hide them in the top most part of the attic. She grinned as she walked back down the stairs and towards the bedrooms.

She started cleaning up the house a little bit before she was going to go get Rose from her mother. She was humming as she picked up all of Rose's toys that were scattered in her room and then made sure the covers were straight on the bed. Leaving Rose's room with her hamper that was set by the door, she went into her own room to straighten everything up. She finished when she sat down on the bed and picked up the picture frame that had three frames connected to another. The first picture was of Rose and herself sitting on the beach in Tuscany, the Second was of Rose and Angus building a sandcastle, and the final one was of the three of them walking down the beach holding hands. She couldn't help but smile at the last one as she placed it back on the table.

Taking her hamper and Rose's to the laundry room quickly sorting everything before tossing in a load. She sighed softly as she headed to the living room and saw there was nothing out of place. She looked at all the picture frames that were littered everywhere and smiled knowing that this place was most definitely home to both Rose and herself. She walked over to a picture frame that held a picture of her and Angus that was sent to her from one his Aunt's. They said they took it the day before we left. It was of Angus and her sitting on the beach close together, Angus had his arm around her waist. Bella smiled as she looked at the picture becoming lost in the memories of that day.

Planning a party Empty Re: Planning a party

(Nice!! Smile )

It had been a longer day than Angus had intended at the main house.  He had hoped to be done with kitchen duties by mid afternoon. He had had full intention of having dinner on to braise and leaving it to the house elves to finish and plate.

When he went to the house's restaurant sized walk in fridge, and saw the food wasn't nearly as cold as he needed it to be to be safe. The fridge had stopped working. The house elves stepped in to help him throw out everything they had in the fridge. That meant, though, that he had to send quickly off to the suppliers for new fresh things. They would come in the morning.

But that meant nothing for dinner for the main house.  Frustrated, he decided to take the matter into his own hands. He ported quickly to his grandfather's in Tuscany and got several pounds of the best prawns from the family fishing business.  His grandfather sent Angus' brothers along with bushel baskets of fresh vegetables and fruit to get them through at the main house through dinner and breakfast the next day til the suppliers brought the rest of the shipment.

The house elves took over for him in making dinner, and he took a bag of the prawns with him, figuring they needed to eat dinner at some point, and went to Bella's. He knocked, more of a rhetorical thing for him than out of necessity.

"Knock knock," he called, opening the door. "Anybody want dinner anytime tonight?" He was hoping she had some of the basic fresh ingredients and things that they could fix something simple at least.  And Rose generally ate pretty much anything he fixed.  She wasn't overly picky, and, in his experience, most kids liked shrimp anyway.

Bella turned at Angus' voice and grinned widely, setting the picture frame down she went over to him. "Hey," She said kissing him softly on the lips. "I would love to have dinner sometime tonight. I know Rose will too, I just have to go pick her up from my mom's house. I finally got all the party shopping done today." She sighed softly remembering the whole day of being followed by one her mother's men. Looking down at what he had in his hands she smiled. "Is that shrimp? How was your day? Anything interesting happen?"

"Oh did Rose happen to tell you what she wants for her birthday? She seems to not want to tell me, I was thinking that you might have better luck than me." She said hoping that her daughter told at least one of them. She walked into the kitchen to grab a glass of water to sooth her parched throat. "Um..Are you going to stay the night here?" She said shyly. "I..uh..sleep better when your here."

He smiled, glad to see her, and he kissed her back when she kissed him.  "Prawns," he smiled, "Had to go to Tuscany for some seafood for tonight. Change of menu plans.  Wish I'd had time to stay a bit, but, oh well, we'll get a chance to go back.  Anyway, the prawns were the best of the lot. I saved out the best of the best for us.I presume you've cooked prawns before, yes?"

If she hadn't, he knew he could certainly manage.  "The walk in refrigerator quit working. So, I had to order all new perishables and fresh fruit and vegetables.  I should be able to get the order from the suppliers tomorrow, but I had to go to Tuscany for just enough to get through the night and through breakfast until the suppliers come.  So, thats why I went to Tuscan.  Just quick trip over and back."

"She hasn't said a word to me," He said. "But if we get time later, maybe I'll take her on a walk or or something. A party at your mother's, huh?" he said. "Well, I'm sure it'll nice, but your parents haven't met me. And right now Rose's party is more important. Not that I don't want to meet them, but I'm not worried. We've got time for that. Are you sure they're ready to know that you're with a guy that takes some of the chances I do? That's not always easy for parents to hear, you know.  There are lots of aurors who are single because their dates' parents think aurors are nice guys but surely girls could find someone safer." It made him smile a little. In the wizarding world, truth be told, there weren't very many safe things. Not anywhere.

"Yes I'm sure we will get the chance to go back. I loved it there, there was so much beauty there and a lot love of family. Your aunts write to me daily and some of the stories they tell make me smile." Bella said remembering all the letter she had saved from them. "Yes I've cooked prawns before. Rose loves them they are one of her favorites."

"Oh no, did you get it fixed so that you don't have anymore issues with it?" She asked then realized she didn't need an answer to the question. "Never mind knowing you it is fixed and working as it should. I'm sure your grandfather was glad to see you even if it was for a moment."

"Well maybe when you can get her to take a walk with you she'll tell you what she wants." She said smiling softly at him. "She always tells you things before me, which means she likes you a lot." She grinned as she started getting pots ready to cook the prawns. "My parents will know that I am safe with you. Yes your work is dangerous but they will know that you would do everything in your power to keep me safe. They will also know that you will keep their granddaughter safe." She touched his face looking into his eyes. "Your a good man Angus, they will like you and they will know that no matter their opinion of you. That I will still love you," she said with a smile and kissed him softly on the lips.
