Hello! Like with the Professors-only thread, you needn't post here to say that you've read this, but if we need to ask someone to step down or change what they're up to, this thread will explain why that happened.
- All Hogwarts staff is expected to post with students and/or other staff members. This includes participating in open threads or things like balls/parties. If you do step into an Open thread, though, note that you are allowed to interfere with what is happening, but sometimes it is better to check with that roleplayer first. If they are particularly shy, or you do not know them well, we ask that you check with them before changing the direction of the thread, because you run the risk of upsetting them unintentionally. If you feel comfortable with that person, however, and the thread is labeled with [ALL] at the end of the title, you’re good to go. Heads of Houses, as well as the Deputy HM and the HM are the ones who will be assigning detentions, while professors and those I just mentioned will determine any IC House Points awarding/deductions.
- Know that this site is going in a direction that begs creativity from everyone, so if you have any Hogwarts ideas, please PM me or the other Admins and we will add those ideas to our current thoughts. If we can help you get your idea some attention, we would really enjoy that. So long as it fits in site rules, of course
- Not every suggestion has to be run by us, unless there is a chance it might go against the direction of the site plot, or if it requires a large number of staff or students. That's more up to you, though, if you feel you want to check. We won't go around stalking threads in hopes of finding anything wrong, but if we do notice or do hear about something that isn't within the bounds of what this site allows for, we'll step in and send you a PM about it. On the other hand, we can help advertise your ideas and get more people involved if you get in touch with us, so it's definitely worth considering even if you're sure it's gonna be super!
- Staff members, just like professors, need to be active. We have a thread in this subforum where you can let us know if you are going to be away. Even if you post in Coming&Goings, if you use a non-Hogwarts staff account, we may not realize that “employee” is not going to be around. So please post there as well.
- Please note, as I put in the Professor thread, that we will not have a competition for House Points this year because we are trying to reunite our members around Hogwarts. And that starts with forming a group of students. House points can definitely be used for plotting, but we won't be keeping track of them anywhere specific.
