BUMP.
He could swear he heard something. Some TUP sound coming from the and of alley, but as he examined the alley there was nothing wrong. Two cars have been parked outside, a red BMW's model like one he wanted to buy but wasn't satisfied with its engine, and some old rusty white pickup, with two parking tickets thrown under its windshield wiper. Other than that the street looked empty. Every flat in every building has curtains drawn on their windows, what a friendly neighbour. There was no one at the streets either, but where the noise came from?
BUMP.
Andrea stopped walking and examined the street more closely. It was his free day and he didn't need to show up in the ambasade until noon the next day, so he decided he needs a walk, that would be a perfect way to discover his neighbour, though the people in his building would probably call him the least friendly person of the year. Not that he cared, he came here not because he wanted to make some friends in foreign country, but because of his works. Something weird is happening, and it's been some time since Andrea decided he'll find out what's going on before anybody else.
He stopped after he saw two tall figures talking and gesturing. Their faces were hidden as well as their bodies so he couldn't assume which gender they are, what age they are, nothing that might be useful. He could come closer to them, but it would be too risky since there's nothing big enough so that can be used as a shelter, and he didn't know if one of those people are carrying a gun, knife or anything else, so he decided not to risk and stay here. He didn't wear his running shoes, anyways.
BUMP.
Andrea blinked. He heard the same noise again, but this time when he raised his glance again, he could se just one hooded person, like the other one disappeared. Impossible. He probably did the math wrong, the other one is still here, he couldn't have disappeared. However he didn't have enough time to think about that because the person that stayed start walking towards the end of the street.
Towards him.
