Trying to reintroduce a character and have two big potential paths for them but not certain which you'll want, so you struggle to introduce them at all for fear of cutting off your options...

I'm being super indecisive about Elsie again.

Yeah but cutting off options is good, because that causes problems for your character when they realise they made a mistake and then they get internal conflict.

Ohhhh not in that way. I have two potential problems I could set her up in, very different, and I basically can't decide between the two. I haven't figured out what will contribute to her arc/theme.
