Hadley laughed, shaking her head. "Yeah, it would probably be wise to avoid that place for a while. At least until you can glance in and be certain they aren't there."
He seemed pretty serious about wanting to help with the situation regarding her parents, and although that did make her a bit more comfortable with the whole situation, she wasn't at all sure what her parents would say. "I wouldn't mind you coming with me. I think it would be helpful, honestly. But my parents are very... I guess you could say they're conservative? I'm actually adopted, so maybe it's just that they're being protective of me. I can't say for sure."
She shrugged one shoulder, furrowing her brow. "I just feel like, even if they see it, they'll think they're just imagining it or something. I know that's silly to say, given that people always say that seeing is believing or whatever. But, seriously, you should expect them to be weird about it. Beyond just their inevitable awkwardness surrounding my bringing someone home to them. That will definitely freak them out."
Her hands settled on his shoulders and she frowned at him slightly before adding, "Just... don't judge them if they're really not very friendly or anything. It won't be easy for them by any means."
