Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

A Request Empty A Request

Post by Pansy Parkinson-Nott Thu Mar 26, 2015 4:29 pm

(Ooc: I wrote this when I was falling asleep and haven't proof read it so I hope it makes sense!)

The death eaters were in need of recruits and a part of the recruitment plan involved the dark followers, of which they needed members. At the last meeting Pansy had made a statement that all members of ones family should be members of the death eaters, which didn't seem too bold a statement until Alexander alerted Pansy of the fact her own daughter wasn't a member of the dark followers. For all intensive purposes that made Pansy a hypocrite and a hypocrite she most certainly was not.

Of course there was more to why Pansy wanted her daughter to sign up as a dark follower than to save her own reputation. Anastasia had always been different. For a start she never seemed to appreciate or understand the pure blood traditions and pure blood supremacy wasn't an ideology that Ana had invested in. Pansy was partly to blame for this. Had Anastasia been Theodore's child then maybe he would have treated her equally, not put her down, not made her feel the victim. Being the victim was what had led to Anastasia becoming the girl she was today and, as much as Pansy always denied Ana's worries that her Father didn't love her, she knew it was true. Theodore Nott didn't love Anastasia. Sure he had tried to take her in as his own but had failed miserably and Ana had become a fighter for it, she'd grown bold and found herself in Gryffindor, a house no Nott would dream of associating themselves with. Now, Pansy had to clear up the mess.

There was one person who the reporter felt could help her with that. Nessarose Bridgewood. The girl had been a guest of Ana's at Alexander and Isadora's new year celebration party. Clearly the girl must have some connection with her daughter, some bond that Pansy could harness. That's why the death eater found herself standing inside a boarded up store along Knockturn Alley: To meet Nessa in hope she could reign in her daughter.

After the near run-in with her parents at the Nott's get-together, Nessarose had been avoiding the Pureblood Society as best as she could manage. But then an owl had arrived at the window of the apartment she shared with Nathaniel, and she was reminded just how immersed within that world she still was. After all, she was living with the nephew of one of the worst pureblooded Death Eaters that Nessa had ever had the misfortune to meet. Clarence was dreadful, and Clarence's son was lucky to have escaped. Not that she truly knew Ben. But she had heard of the mess that happened between the father and his son, and she had been wary of Death Eaters ever since.

But this Death Eater was a particularly interesting one, if only because Nessa had yet to figure Pansy out, and that made her a bit uncomfortable. She was curious, but also a bit nervous to be meeting with the woman, and in the end it came down to the fact that she didn't think she could get out of it. Nessa just had a feeling that Pansy would be persistent.

So the brunette made her way into Knockturn Alley, pulling her sweater closer around her, and walked up outside of the shop that Mrs. Parkinson-Nott had requested. The woman was there by the time Nessa arrived, and she looked around before stopping in front of Pansy. "Hello," she offered. "What can I do for you?"

The sound of the old bell clanged as Nessa arrived, catching Pansy's attention which had been fixed upon an hourglass whose sand grains were black and, according to the label, glowed red when people were near who could find out what you were up to. The grains had burned ruby as the door opened but quickly returned to their coal-like state once the door closed and shielded Pansy from the public eye.

It seemed a safe place to be. For a start Pansy was a death eater and, although this wasn't public knowledge, the people whom Pansy would want to know did know. Anybody who happened to stroll into the shutdown shop wouldn't linger, especially if Pansy asked them ever so sweetly to leave. Thankfully nobody would enter for Pansy waved her wand to the door, casting 'colloportus' to prevent interruptions. She wanted to get this over and done with.

'I'm glad you could meet me here, Nessarose.' Pansy stated and heading across the disused shop to the young dark follower. 'You're friends with Anastasia I believe?' She asked, her lips curling. 'She likes you. Listens to you? Am I correct you?'
