GENERAL APPEARANCE: One of the standout features in Max's appearance is his square jawline and strong facial muscles. His cheekbones are reasonably high, has a straight rigid nose and his eyebrows are at a sharp angle above his pale blue eyes. His lips are thin and although he doesn't like them wouldn't exchange them as his face would look odd without them - they complete his typically handsome features. Of course he would like to have something done about his ears. Max dislikes the fact that they stick out slightly and are rather rounded. Although perhaps this is a good thing as it softens his face form being overly rugged.
Max's hair is a light blonde and usually is styled up into a pompadour - his inspiration for this style is from the muggle celebrity magazines that his Mother used to leave lying around the house when he was younger. In addition to that he has slight facial hair that helps to hide really how strong a jawline Max has.
The majority of the time Max adopts a smart-casual attire, choosing to wear neat-looking jumpers or a shirt with the top button undone. Coming from a muggle background he never was one for wizards robes as they simply are too impractical for his likening (and can be rather messy). He likes smart, sleek and stylish. The three S's.

Of course Max, the footballer hater, was pleasantly surprised at how many levels Quidditch was above football. Since that first game he has always had a passion for the sport, even if he is just an average flier.

+ Being told by the Ravenclaw Quidditch Captain that he would never make the Quidditch team because he is an awful flier and should never come near a Quidditch pitch again. Of course this was an over exaggeration but when a seventh year is saying this to a second year it can be quite scary and disheartening.

+ When looking in the mirror Max sees himself in Quidditch robes with a captain badge pinned by the collar. In one hand a broomstick in the other the Quidditch World Cup. Since watching his first Quidditch match he has always wanted to be a Quidditch player although, sadly, isn't a good enough player and has to settle with working within the industry not being a player.
PERSONALITY:
Max is a fun, charming young fellow who is well mannered and considerate. It's hard not to have a good time around Max and some would say he is a confident guy, which he is - now. There was once a time in Hogwarts when Max was insecure about himself: his appearance, his flying skills, his intelligence. Not that he should have worried about any of these, especially the latter for he was sorted into Ravenclaw at the drop of the hat. This may come as a surprise to some people as he is molded into a strong Gryffindor, perhaps Hufflepuff, stature. What they don't know is that although he doesn't necessarily enjoy studying Max is naturally clever, good with a wand and managed to get rather good grades on very little revision (he crammed). There was once a time when Max wanted to pursue a career in healing, hence his NEWT subjects, but realised in his seventh year that he wasn't passionate about it the way he was about Quidditch. The first thing Max wakes up to is the thought of Quidditch and instead has decided to purse a career in Quidditch. Quidditch is perhaps Max's favourite thing on earth. He loves the buzz, the competition and the success stories of the player who went from nothing to something.

EARLY YEARS:
Max's parents separated before he was born due to a matter of infidelity and although his Father attempted to spend time with his son as the years went by that time was narrowed, especially when Charlie found another woman whom he later married and had children with. As a result any memories with his Father Max doesn't consider a good memory, they weren't necessarily bad but feeling gradually unloved isn't good for any child. In spite of that Max doesn't care, he doesn't hold a grudge against his Father but the half siblings he couldn't care less for.
Because his Father was barely around it mean't that Angelina raised Max almost by herself and being in a low paid job where she couldn't progress meant the pair had to struggle. Life wasn't great but it was all that Max knew and it made him appreciate what little he had and was taught by his Mother if he wanted things other children had then he would have to work hard in school, get good grades and good job. This message was drilled into Max at a young age because Angelina didn't want her son being in the same situation she was in. Of course the effects of these was evident when Max arrived at Hogwarts and was sorted into Ravenclaw.
HOGWARTS YEARS:
Having not known about the magical world Max was more than excited to start Hogwarts when he found out the news of him being a wizard. Although he had a stereotypical image of wizards wearing tall hats and witches flying broomsticks he was amazed at what the magical world had to offer. There was more to magic than pulling a rabbit from a to hat he had to study magical plants, learn how to brew potions, cast spells and fly. His first flying lesson wasn't a success, Max barely managed to kick his feet off from the ground but after seeing the first Quidditch match of the year a month later the Ravenclaw was infatuated with the sport.
Max never cared much for sports as a child, his Mother was always too busy working two jobs and keeping them afloat that she rarely had the time to play sports with him and it wasn't as if she could afford to pay for tennis classes and she never let him leave the house due to the roughness of the area in which they lived - thus cutting him off from playing football on the streets. It was fair to say Max was shadowed from sports and at Hogwarts a love for them soon developed, well, for Quidditch at least. Since watching the first quidditch match Max would sneak off to the Quidditch Pitch after meal times and practice his flying.
Of course practice doesn't always make perfect and in his second year Max received a harsh rejection from the Ravenclaw Quidditch Team, deterring him completely away from the sport. He'd sulk in the common room and stare enviously at members of the team when they returned muddy from long practice sessions. Instead he returned his attention to having fun with his newfound friends and studying. The studying was okay for a while but Max soon found it pointless. Sure he needed a good job but it felt as though all his life he'd wanted to be a Quidditch player (of course not possible but Max certainly was passionate) and had to gain inspiration from muggle TV shows at home during the summer.
During the summer of his fourth year Max became almost addicted to medical dramas, thus deciding that he wanted to be a healer. As a result he worked hard for his OWL's and commenced studying hard for his NEWT;s. His efforts were futile. The amount of studying didn't seem to equate to a healer position and he soon realised the efforts her was putting into healing were only masking his disappointment that he could never be a quidditch player. All Max wanted to do was fly on a broomstick and throw a quaffle through a hoop. One match the commentator (one of Max's friends) found himself in the hospital wing and recommended Max commentate the match due to the amount of knowledge he had on the sport for Max reads the sport section of the daily prophet religiously. Since that moment Max know knows that all he wants to do is commentate Quidditch matches and perhaps write for the sport section of the daily prophet.
