Checking In

James walked into the cage that held the dragon who couldn't be lumped together with the rest. He brought her here because she was severely wounded and she was very cranky with most people. He checked in on her every chance she got because he was worried about her. Walking up to her slowly he smiled putting his hands out in front of him.

"Hello sweetheart. How are you feeling today? Your wings getting better?" James said as he finally reached her as she lowered her head for a pet. Opening her wings for him to see she lowered herself more towards the ground. "Well they are looking better every day Sonya, you just keep resting okay sweetheart?" He carefully inspected her other wing and saw some spots that would need some more attention and some that just needed some cream.  "They treating you good in here? I hope so, I brought you something to snack on." He grabbed a large piece of wrapped meat from his satchel and put it in front of her.

James walked over to where her nest was making sure that it was comfortable for her. Sonya began walking over to where James stood looking over her nest and nudged him with her head, smiling he petted her head as she laid down in her nest. "You'll be just fine here, don't be too hard on them. They are trying to make sure that you get healed with no damage." James said as he continued to pet her head. "Alright I'm gonna go check in with everyone and then i'll be right back okay Sonya? Don't worry I won't be gone long." He began walking towards the door that led to the outside of the cage. Upon exiting he sighed softly then walked towards where they kept medical supplies for the dragons. He was in the elevator trying to track down one of the healers that were helping Sonya when he ended up on a floor he didn't mean to be on.

Avery was due to check in on the newly brought in dragons, so she made sure to hurry with her lunch that afternoon. Paperwork organized, she stood and picked up the files on the dragons she was set to take a look at, pushing them into her shoulder bag. The strap was then set on her shoulder as she made her way out of the office.

It wasn't until she made it to the elevator that she caught sight of someone unusual. She had a feeling that she had seen the man before, though, so Avery offered a smile, extending her hand. "Hello. I'm Avery.

"It's James, right?" she asked, gesturing towards him vaguely as she tilted her head to the side. "You brought Sonya in, if I remember correctly. My husband has one he keeps here, too. The dragon's name is Fergus, though I tried to explain to Robin that it was a fairly silly name." Avery shrugged, laughing to herself a little.

Giving the man another glance, she hesitated before adding, "Did you need something? Or were you looking for someone?"

James looked at the woman in front of him. "Nice to meet you Avery, yes I'm James." He rubbed his hand across his face. "Yeah Sonya is mine, she seems like she's doing good here. Fergus is an unusual name but I've heard far names more silly than that on to completely honest." James said smiling as he put his hands in his pockets.

"I was looking for one of the healers that was helping with Sonya. There's some spots on her wing that are concerning me because she doesn't seem to be healing from them. So I'm trying to figure out what they are putting on it." He said readjusting his satchel on his shoulder. "She seems like she's a little irritable though, she keeps fidgeting every time i get near. So I need them to scan her and see if maybe she is close to laying her eggs. Which at that point I'll be the only one she'll allow near her. I must have gotten off on the wrong floor when looking for the healers." James said sighing as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Sorry it's just I'm crazy protective of the dragons I have and wanna make sure they get the best treatment possible."
