Elizabeth didn't care about other people, that was the fact. It wasn't that she hated them all, actually she hated just a few of them. As strange as it was, she actually liked most of them. Not liked like they meant something for her, just admire them in some ways.
For example, she never did a single thing to Ariella. But the girls is watching her like she's the biggest enemy. Well, maybe she is. Looking back in the past, Elizabeth smiled. She never did a single thing to anyone from the school. She was just cleaver enough to choose the correct words. She was actually very polite, but somehow she would always get what she wanted.
Smirking, she looked at the book before moving her gaze back to the girl.
How can she hate someone she never spoke to? She can't. But no one says she won't as soon as she ends this conversation. Ariella must have heard the stories back in the school. And judging by her reactions, Beth assumed she heard exaggerated versions of the stories. She couldn't care less.
"Well darling, it looked that way. Are you? Do you want me to go, it's not problem really." she said quickly, with her worried expression. Inside, she was laughing.
"Well, you know how they say, it can always be better. Of course, my life is always good because, well, it's me!" she smiled brightly before continuing "You can't be bored when you're Elizabeth Blackburn. And even when my life is boring, I always have people around to watch. You have no idea how much informations you can get by only watching!" she nodded. Ariella didn't look happy while Beth was talking, and that's the only reason she talked too much. She just wanted to see for how long can this girl stand. "But to be completely honest with you, it can always be better. I haven't seen my girls in long time, I'm becoming miserable. But, it's a good day! So how's your life?"
One thing was sure. Elizabeth had no intention of leaving soon.
