Runaway

That girl that girl too seriously conceives life.

That or he is acting too childish. But probably, it's a bit of both. Kai tilted his head trying to figure out what made her that way but that was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Impossible. The reasons could be many, and he even didn't know where he could start.

"Extremely serious." He put a hand over his heart and smiled so saintly he thought it's quite possible that halo appeared above his head. In one remote part of his mind he guessed that he probably gone too far with the last but he couldn't help himself. Cecilie reminded him of lost sad puppy, and he hated when people felt that way and was just trying to improve their mood. How bad that can be?

Cecilie had many reasons why she didn't trust people easily. These reasons are something what she doesn't like to talk so much about it. Girl was curious why that boy wanted to be her friend. Usually people just soon began to avoid her, so far they have done it.

"Thanks for being serious," she said there now. "That doesn't mean that will make you my friend. You need to earn my trust," she said there now with a smile. "You need to earn my trust. I'm not sure how," she added. And looked up and saw there even little bit sky. She really wasn't scared being here in forest like she thought she would be. Maybe it was because there was someone else too.

"You're welcome."

Well, this conversation is turning more and more awkward, but it kept Caiden sufficiently occupied so he wouldn't start thinking about his real problems and that was what he needed at the moment. This little Gryffindor girl seemed quite innocent, and probably not fully aware of his sarcasm.

He kind of missed when he was the same, as innocent as she was. But that passed long time ago, he made some good choices, but more the bad ones since then. Everything he made changed him so much he can't recognize a person he became. He missed the previous Kai, relaxed, negligent, one that didn't kill his wife, but he was sure he would do all the same again if he needed to. Kai followed her gaze, thought he couldn't see the sky from where he was sitting, only trees, trees, and some more trees.

"Scared?" He cocked his head returning his gaze at Cecilie.

Cecilie smiled and kept looking at the sky there. She really wasn't sure what to say now or do exactly. She really wasn't used to talk with people so much. She peferred to be alone and do something her own. Girl looked down at in front of her. When he asked if she is scared or not then she looked at the boy.

"I'm not scared. Not at least that much that I would run here away screaming. So far I haven't seen anything that scary," she said there now. She had no idea what that boy here have done in his life. Shs doesn't believe the gossip much so she doesn't listen do it too. She soon looked at in front of her and wondered what to do ot say more.

"Even thought you're in the middle of the forest with a guy for whom others believe he murdered his wife?" His lips parted into a devilish smile. Kai took twig from the ground and began to tumble it in the hands. "So...very...Gryffindor." His voice was quieter this time, barely louder than other sounds in the forest.

"So, if I suddenly decide that killing my wife just wasn't enough to satisfy me. What would you do?" He look at her through his eyelashes. Although he was improvising, he doubted she'll figure out he's bluffing. He learn to playact even since he was kid, and till now he sharpened his act to perfection. His reputation and environment that turned darker with every passed moment, went in his favour.
"No one would hear you scream."

Cecilie looked at the boy with wide eyes. She had heard such rumors around school but she never paid mucb attention who that person was. She wasn't sure what to do now. Girl tried to say there somethinf but she couldn't bring words out at all.

She stood up there now and she knew that even running away won't help her much. Probably this boy was faster than her and she was sure that she will get lost if she is going to run. She wasn't familiar with this forest yet at all. So she stood there and looked at the boy. "You can't just go and kill me. Why you would wanna do that?"

"Why not?" He broke the twig and throw it somewhere over his back. He hated how easy these two words left his mouth. Yes, why not? She's just another human being, and it's not like he never killed before, he did. His own wife! Why he couldn't kill some random person then? Once a monster, always a monster. His eyes narrowed as he watch the change of Cecilie's expression. It was true, the rest of the castle still looked at him like he's a monster. Was he a monster? Were they right? Caiden knew he won't kill Cecilie, but he couldn't say he's innocent either. Although the past remains the past he doesn't have the ability to erase it, he did what he did, what needed to be done.

So why was he hurt when he realized the others still blame him for Lila's murder? He could add that question to the list of ones he couldn't give any answer. "Relax, I won't kill you." Even Kai could admit that sentence sounded weird. "I just wanted to find out if you heard the rumors. Obviously, you did."

Cecilie couldn't answer for that question. She didn't find right answer for it. She looked at the boy and wondered what he did now. "Oh you don't want someone elses death on you. People might blame it on you," she mumbled there more likely to herself than to Kai.

"Oh good to know," she said there with relief amd did sat down back now under tree. "Yeah I have heard them but never listened details. Not my business really. Since most rumours ate fake," she said there now. "You really killed your wife? Why the hell you did that?" She asked there now with out herself realizing what she just did. When she realized it was too late already. "It's okay if you don't wanna talk," she added.

"Been there. Got a t-shirt." People already believed he committed one murder, it wouldn't be hard to make them believe he did it again. Sure it would be tricker to come clean out of all that but it wouldn't be impossible. Though he never wanted to kill anyone again so he won't need to think about backup plans.

Caiden tried not to laugh, he tried really hard but he couldn't help himself, he tilted his head backwards and started laughing. "You're weird," he pointed, "you're speaking with potential murderer and asking him if he wants to talk about it. I'm impressed." This girl really belongs to Gryffindors. "And no, I didn't kill her, so there's nothing to talk about." Maybe if he repeat that he's innocent enough times he'll start to believe in that. No, not so likely.

Cecilie just rolled her eyes and sighed. She didn't get that boy. One minute he is nice, then freaks her out and noq nice again. She really didn't get what was his deal or who he really was. Actually she didn't care much about it, she just found it weird, that's all.

Well to be honest she found it odd to that she was so brave to say something like that. "Well, get used with it me being weird," she told to him now there. It sounded like right thing to dom "I really don't care if you did it or not. You're personal life isn't really my business actually," she added there now and smiled even a little bit, it was fake one actually. To see her real smile was hard, so far only one person can make her smile for real. Her boyfriend John.
