Maddie's parents both attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and met in their 7th year. A few short years later they married, and eventually gave birth to Maddie and her two siblings, Mark and Melinda.

- Short Roleplay:
Maddie eagerly awaited her chance to be sorted. She nibbled on her fingernails, absentmindedly scratched her scalp, and nervously glanced around the Great Hall. What the Sorting Hat would decide was a complete mystery. Her mother had been in Gryffindor, while her Father had been in Ravenclaw; however, her great grandparents on her mother's side had previously been Slytherins! 'Well,' she thought to herself, 'I'm brave and adventurous, so maybe I'll end up in Gryffindor like Mum! Or... Well, I am pretty smart and enjoy learning, so maybe Ravenclaw? Although I've been told I'm honest and a hardworker, so what if I end up a Puff?! Then again, my parents always say I'm ambitious and far too cunning for my own good... would the Sorting Hat put me in Slytherin??' Anxious thoughts tumbled through Maddie's head as she waited for her chance to wear the Sorting Hat.
