Darren was standing in front of... a pub.
Now, usually the man wouldn't find it in him to care about that, but here was the problem: It wasn't Kip that Darren was meeting there, but instead Dom. That wasn't to say that he didn't think he could have a decent time with her. No, indeed. She had more or less become his partner in crime over the years, though Darren had no exact moment he could point to in order to confirm the idea.
This pub, however, was probably a good example of their shenanigans, even if they couldn't decide how the things had started. The line outside was almost entirely made up of girls in things far too high on the bottom and far too low on the top. If Dom thought he was going to find any of them that interested him, she was dead wrong. Then again, Darren had always been the more wary and more likely to question anything and everything. It was just how he was, and Darren was sure that Dom recognized that after being around him for so long.
He made his way along the line of people waiting, looking for the blonde head of hair who had requested he meet her. By the time he reached the front, though, he realized she wasn't outside. He didn't expect that she would be late, so he leaned to the side and peered through the door as best as he could. The bouncer gave Darren a funny look before looking down at his list. "Oi, mate. You on the list?"
Darren blinked at the taller man, both surprised that the man was in fact taller than himself as well as intrigued that he might in fact be one of the ones written down. "Um, possibly," he returned, moving closer and pushing his hands into his pockets. "Got an Isaacson on there?" When the bouncer nodded, Darren's eyebrows lifted for a moment, but he just nodded and walked in when the door was pushed open for him. It felt strange to have that thing opened for him, considering he usually irritated people rather than got invited in places.
Glancing around the place, a frown immediately forced itself onto his face. This was going to be a ridiculous evening, he was sure, after he found her. And if Dom tried to pull anything, Darren wasn't exactly sure what he would do. Probably just shoot words at her that were dripping with disdain or sarcasm. That, however, would not be his fault.
