Dom was wearing comfortable clothing from a day full of attempts to be productive. The plan had been to deep clean her place, make a healthy lunch, and then go visit the family. She had ended up rewatching a horrible comedy that she had recently uncovered in a box, shoveling down popcorn and cookies as she did. The movie ended an hour past when she had planned on dining, and all of her will to cook flew out the door. She checked to ensure her hair was not in trouble of poofing too horribly, and set off in search of somewhere to go.
She knew she was distracting herself from the hard task before her. It had been too long since she had last visited Lily, and she knew Teddy was probably going insane. Try as she might, she could not get Albus to talk to her for more than a second. Her whole family was going through something absolutely horrible and there was nothing she could do beside be obnoxiously persistent in trying to be there for them. Unfortunately, no one was going to admit anything was amiss. And the cycle would persist.
Avoiding these unpleasant thoughts, Dom slipped into a pleasant little cafe that she knew had some great chicken fingers. It wasn't a healthy lunch but damned if it wasn't a satisfying one. She waited at the front for a moment, as a large family (both in quantity and girth) was blocking her way. The youngest of them moved, revealing to Dom a sight of the cafe she had not had before. And apart of that landscape was the familiar face of Aria Lockwood.
Dom quickly squeezed between the family and hurried towards the table, calling, "Aria!"
