Adrienne could not believe the situation she found herself in. Not only had she taken her NEWTs late so she could graduate, but having spent the last six months with Keiran and his students, she had found her place in teaching just as he had. After his accident and everything with the Ministry, Mr. Hayes had been against going back to his former post, instead choosing to keep his head low and fill the role that the Ministry have him and his wife: counseling.
The very idea was absurd, but Adrienne couldn't help but think that maybe it could actually do the couple some good. Having to give advice to others might end up helping them sort themselves out. As for Adrienne, counseling wouldn't be needed for her now that she was going to be at Hogwarts while Kaiden worked at the Ministry.
After being told that she was promoted to full-time Transfiguration Professor, Adrienne had things she needed to collect for her lessons. Keiran had kindly agreed to look over her lesson plans and ensure that the students would take her seriously, so she was feeling a bit more confident going into everything. As her feet carried her through Diagon Alley, Adrienne kept an eye out for the shop that Mr. Hayes had named as an excellent place to find books and general supplies. He, of course, would know as he had been Head of Slytherin and taught her same class last year.
When she finally located the store, Adrienne smiled to herself and walked in. Having only been in the store once or twice - on accident, actually, or when browsing to kill time - she couldn't remember where everything was kept. So she decided to amble around the outer edges of the shop and look at the section titles until she found one for her class. As she was walking, however, her eyes remained on the shelves and the brunette failed to notice the tables in front of her. Bumping one with her arm, she jumped, turning quickly to apologize to the man sat there.
"I'm so sorry! I'm a bit distracted, I suppose." Offering a small smile in greeting, she added, "I'm just trying to get ready for the school year."
