"Yes that's what I call it," Scorpius said with a smirk. "It's my story and I'm sticking to it," he finished with a curl of his lips, reaching down to grab his drink and take a long drag.
"I never knew that," the man admitted, having been totally unaware of the Granger's previous relationship status. "I'm sorry things didn't work out," the wizard added. Scorpius could only hope that the witch would not get in trouble for failing to notify the ministry about the changes in her life, but the blonde knew it was a futile hope. The Ministry was far from forgiving when it came to not complying with their law, rules, and regulations. He would know. Such things were quite literally his job, after all.
"Hush you," the man replied upon spotting the smirk that had found its way onto Sophia's lips. People had been shocked enough when Scorpius had become close friends with Albus Potter, even though Al had been a fellow Slytherin and dorm mate. His casual friendship with Sophia probably would have sent waves through the Hogwarts roumer mill as well, if more people had known about it. If his old mates caught wind that he was marrying a Gryffindor half-blood, well, there would be more than a few raised eyebrows.
That was okay though, he didn't mind. If anyone had a problem with Mairen, Scorpius would take care of it.
