GENERAL APPEARANCE: Ellery is of average height with a slim build that has the potential for muscle. She has a very intense look about her, and with her bold and quiet nature around strangers this also tends to ward them off. Her hair is long and flows, naturally wavy, with a brown that glints a burning red in the sunlight. Ellery's eyes are a type of hazel in nature, but mistaken for gray quite often as they are very neutrally so until the light hits and brings out the hidden greens and browns often obscured by dim lighting. Her smile, when a close friend brings it out, is bright and joyful accompanied by a laugh that bubbles out in the form of giggles. Ellery stands very straight with her chin forward so she is always facing whatever is in front of her dead-on.

PERSONALITY:

The first thing that one may notice about Ellery, is just how orderly she keeps herself. Her bag of belongings is organized with a special place for each individual item. Her bed is made every morning as if the Minister of Magic was to come and inspect it. Ellery is not a neat-freak, mind you. She is simply constantly doing the upkeep. She wants to be very orderly on her own and embraces the messy people in her life in order to make her neatness look good.

If there's one thing others notice when Ellery begins talking, it is that she is a very passionate girl. Any time a classmate gets her talking about magical creatures, she shines with a look her eyes that has blown others away. If one were to dare oppose a strong moral or belief in Ellery, they would face an angry passion that is otherwise described as terrifying.

Now the next word to describe dear Ellery would almost seem to be opposing her passionate side, for Ellery is very stoic as well. The way it works is that she is simply unsociable in a crowd. Around more than a handful of others, Ellery sinks into her inner conscious and watches others with an observant eye. Around just a few, or the people closest to her, Ellery blooms like a flower. But another thing that makes her stoic, is that she has become very experienced at keeping certain emotions hidden.

With the passion in Ellery's heart also comes her strong-willed side. This more negative side of Ellery developed during her childhood around her siblings. She never enjoyed being told was to do, especially if she really didn't want to do it. So Ellery spoke out against anything her siblings told her to do, and they heard these counter-arguments and consistent "no-way-in-azkaban-am-i-going-to-do-that"s just about every other day. Now where it's more apparent around her family, Ellery is a little less actively refusing to listen to others now that she's at Hogwarts. She's more compliant than she was when she was younger, but woe to those that attempt to force Ellery on a boat if she doesn't have to.

CHARACTER HISTORY

Early Years: Ellery never understood why her aunt didn't come over very often, or what it meant when her parents were arguing with her aunt that Ellery was a "normal little girl" and not what she thought Ellery was. But that was only a small worry in the life of Little Ellie. She was a wonderful life with her mother, father, older brother, younger brother, and younger sister. She had lots of friends at school and loved animals (mostly doggies) and loved drawing and stories and playtime. But as Ellery got older, strange things began happening - especially when she was getting closer to turning eleven years old. The strangest memory Ellery can recall is finding it so odd that one day their hamster had disappeared and all that they could find in the cage was a furry teacup. Then came the day of Ellery's eleventh birthday, where she stepped outside early that morning and, with her mother right behind her, a beautiful brown owl dropped a large letter in Ellery's hands. That's when the secret came out.

Within minutes the entire house seemed to explode. Ellery's mother and father screaming and arguing, and it was no better when Ellery's aunt showed up at their house that day either. Ellery was a witch. Ellery could do magic. And the most important fact was that Ellery had to go away during the school year to a boarding school for witches and wizards known as Hogwarts. That night, after being comforted by her older brother, Ellery left with their aunt, who was also a witch, for the summer to begin learning all she needed to know before Hogwarts began in the fall.

Hogwarts Years: Ellery began Hogwarts with a bittersweet attitude. She blamed it for all the problems it caused within her family. But as soon as she was sorted and accepted by all other children like her, Ellery's negative feelings toward Hogwarts melted away like snow in the springtime. Ellery's first year was all excitement, and went home to her aunt's for Christmas that year though she didn't know why. When Ellery returned home to her family at the end of her first year, she came home to a house of strangers. Her father wouldn't look at her the same way, her siblings were unsure of how to talk to her, and her mother was nowhere to be found. No one had known where she'd gone - she hadn't left a note, but their father blamed Ellery. Ellery began to blame herself as well and constantly feels that burden on her heart.

As she entered year two, Ellery was a different person. Her friends she had made noticed and tried to help, but Ellery had become very quiet socially. She only spoke a lot around those she was close to up until Christmas and when she came back after the holidays, she was a little better, but the emotional hit she took from her family was heavy on her heart and mind.

When year three came, Ellery opened up slowly and began to accept that the wizarding world was her new family. She joined quidditch (which she was surprisingly pretty swell at). She made new friends. She was beginning to feel happy. Then year four came and went, happiness still drifting back into her life. Now that year five is here, Ellery finds herself rolling with the punches and finding greater friends than she's ever known.

Hey, Wolf!

Welcome aboard! I read your app. I like Ellery. She seems more to me a Gryffindor than a Ravenclaw. I presume that's what you intended with her.

Don't worry about the coding. TBH, we've had a few glitches with it lately. And it seems that every time we think we've fixed it, it seems to develop a few new things. Oh well.

However, can you please change your user name from Ellery to Ellery Dixon? We do need to have it by first and last name.
