(OOC: Hit, this would be set after he meets Nessa. For reference. So after the holiday break)
Her lunch meeting had felt painfully long, but as Ana Levski started her walk back down the hall and towards the Guidance Office, she half wanted more time before her next meeting. It was her last day, though, and very little could keep her from starting the meeting on time. If either student were late, she would be rather put out. The sooner the meetings were finished, the better.
She would be free, for the first time in ages. And that in itself was a rather amazing idea. Smiling to herself, Ana unlocked the door with a few minutes left until her one o’clock meeting. Maybe the students would even be early. That would be brilliant, she mused. Leaving the door ajar, Ana rounded the desk and settled behind it.
Once her coffee mug was placed in its usual spot on the desk, her fingers reached for the required files that matched the two she expected to find in her office. At the very least, she could hope that the students were calm. A Hufflepuff and a Ravenclaw. Perhaps they would be sensible and go along with it. But then, people rarely were in these meetings, she had found.
Sighing, Ana flipped through the files as she so often did. It was then, she realized, that her reason for doing so all along had actually been rather rational. She had been looking for the bits of their applications that suggested that they would work together. More often than not, she hadn’t found anything that stood out. At least she wasn’t the person assigned to match people. Though, perhaps, if she had been, there would have been less discontent. Out of everyone who had applied, she had only seen perhaps four couples matched with their preferred partners. Merlin help her, but she hoped these two students at least knew each other.
