It wasn't his fault. It really wasn't. Trisha hadn't given him any choice, really, but to leave. It had been altogether too embarrassing to sit there as she made passive-aggressive comments throughout the film Hitamé had chosen. Frankly, he didn't want to sit around any longer, pretending she didn't bother him or that he didn't wish he could go back to his early days with her and take back their fights.
Things would have been so much easier if he hadn't been so aggressively against being her friend from the start. Frankly, if she hadn't been so headstrong, yet surprisingly shy, he wouldn't have cared a whit about her. Maybe they could have just gotten on well enough to put up with each other. But of course she was, and it made him instantly adore her for the work he would have to put in to get to know her. But that meant, of course, that his parents wouldn't be even close to approving. And at the time, that had been massively important. Now, he was just desperate for something else to think about. But here she was again, Hitamé forcing them together.
He had to apologize. He knew that Hitamé was probably furious with him, and it would take a lot to get him back on her good side if he had messed up too badly. Making his way down to the grounds, Daemon could only hope he was right in guessing that she was out and about somewhere. Luckily, he spotted her a short distance away and sped up his steps as he approached.
"Hey, Hit?" He called, voice slightly tentative and anxious. "Have you got a minute?"
If she said no, Dex wasn't sure what he would do. Hitamé was one of the few people he sincerely cared about keeping as a friend. Especially considering she wasn't in the same house, Daemon wasn't about to let her friendship go easily. He was far beyond wanting to be friends with people in Slytherin. All they seemed to do was hurt others. But, then, wasn't he the same? He nearly frowned at the thought but redirected his thoughts on the Gryffindor in front of him.
