Kyria opened the doors from the hall and checked to see if anyone was there. There were a few students walking around still, but that was because it wasn't dusk yet, and most people gathered in this courtyard when they were coming from the grounds anyway. Kyria wanted to see how close she could get to the forest before it getting dark, or before she spots a prefect coming at her to bring her inside. Truth was that the Forbidden Forest was going to be her last place she dangerously explores before she graduates from Hogwarts. Then she will have felt accomplished sneaking around the whole place. Kyria wanted to just ease herself closer to feel the closeness of what will make he accomplish this goal.
Kyria wasn't planning to stay long mostly because of the danger that has been going on lately. She wasn't as reckless as to nearly get herself killed. Well.... Maybe she was, but Kyria would be ready for whatever came at her unexpectedly. Her main concern was to look out for prefects, at least when the time called for it. The sun hadn't started setting yet so she felt fine on the prefect issue. Next was to watch out for any dangerous creatures that may be lurking nearby and thought Kyria would make for a nice evening meal.
Kyria made it across the grounds and approached the dark, brooding Forbidden Forest. Checking to make sure it was clear to approach, Kyria stepped, or more like shuffled a foot towards the forest, making it close to a tree root that jutted out about a foot from the wall of dark trees. She stopped there but looked at the trees before her, towering like massive giants protecting the secrets of within. Thinking of the trees that way only made her curiosity grow and she took a bigger step in between the end of the root and the wall fortress of trees.
