I know how to save a life

Tick... beep... Tick... beep... beep...

The clock on the wall finally hit the 24 hour mark for Sophia, she been by Maura's side for seven days now, and she still haven't woke up. Sophia was doing everything she could to heal her, but she suffered greatly by getting hit by that horrible awful curse. Although others were losing hope on her, Sophia kept believing that Maura was going to make it through this. Sophia knew Maura was probably in some coma or something at the point being, Sophia could tell that she was indeed fighting to wake up. "Come on Mars you can do it, you have people that love you that are waiting for you to wake up!"said Sophia softly. Although Sophia knew she was pregnant as well, so Sophia was doing everything she could to keep Maura and the baby alive. Sophia was tired and beat, but she wasn't leaving this hospital until Maura woke up and she knew that she was ok.

"Sophia you need to rest and get some sleep hun, you been here for seven deays and you hardly ate anything!"said Hannah. "I'm fine Hannah."said Sophia softly although her eyes were a blood red from lack of blood. "I got her Soph, why don't you get some rest and eat."said Hannah softly as Sophia sighed in deafeat and nodded. "Alright fine, but if anything happens let me know!"said Sophia as Hannah nodded. Walking out of Maura's room, Sophia headed towards the small Sparks' Cafe in the hospital getting her some pancakes and a french vanilla cappuccino before eating.

A few mniutes later, Sophia walked back into her office as she closed the door and flicked her wand at the couch as it turned into a bed. Not thinking twice about it, Sophia flopped onto the bed and drifted off to sleep.

*Few hours later*

When Sophia woke-up she seen it was the next morning by the time she woken up. Cursing to herself that she slept so long, Sophia gotten up and flicked her wand at herself as she flicked her wand at the bed as it went back to the couch. Taking a few things of blood, to calm her hunger Sophia headed towards Maura room which was in ICU. Unpon entering, she seen Hannah by Maura's bed. "Thanks for covering for me Hannah, I'm much better now thanks."said Sophia softly. "No problem Soph, you needed it!"said Hannah softly before she left the room. Sophia checking Maura's vital signs sighed as nothing much changed.

"Maybe she just needs someone to make her wake up."said Sophia to herself. She wasn't even sure if anyone knew that Maura was here, although she was sure Ryo probably knew now due to him and Maura being connected. Although Sophia wasn't connected to Ryo, she could always sense when he was in trouble or when he was near by. Pressing the page button Sophia spoke. "If Maura's fiancé Ryo comes in, let him through I sense that he's going to be coming soon!"said Sophia softly.

Maura started moving slightly in her sleep, but her eyes didn't open until a few minutes later.  Wincing as the light hit her eyes, Maura looked around for a few minutes before she realized where she was at.   How she gotten here,  she doesn't know, she doesn't even know how long she been here.  She doesn't remember much, other then she was attacked by Henry at Godric's Hallow and almost killed by him.  Maura figured Sophia must of save her again, but how she know she was at Godric's hallow was a mystery to her.

Looking around Maura wondered what day it was, as she seen a nurse come in Maura chuckled as the nurse almost dropped her tray of potions when she saw Maura awake.  "Sorry... didn't mean to scare you."said Maura softly but in a husky voice.  "Quite alright dear, it just I didn't expect you to be awake, you been out for week!"said the nurse before walking towards Maura and checking her vital signs.  "Wait what, I been out for a week?"Maura asked her softly as the nurse nodded.  "Oh my god, I missed my first Christmas and New Years' with Ryo!"said Maura sadly. She was suppose to have Christmas and New Years' with Ryo, she wondered if he knew she was in here.  If not, he was going to be worried as hell Maura was sure of.

But then again, she was sure that Ryo knew for Sophia would probably would of told him over owl or Patronus.  Although when she woke up, she didn't see any beside her or even in the room.  She was a bit sad to see no one was here with her.  But then again, the person Sophia was, probably told them their was no point to sit here and wait when they could be living their lives.  Although she wondered how she gotten Ryo to leave if he did, he was as equally stubborn as Sophia was,  sometimes Maura wondered if they were related.

Sitting up in her bed, Maura winced in pain as pain shot from her sides.  "Ow..."Maura whimpered softly to herself.  "Whoa easy Maura, your not completely healed yet,  it's going to take weeks to a month for you to heal completely."said the nurse.  "Ugh... really? god I miss being a vampire at times!"said Maura sighing.   Seeing an I.V. hooked to her arm,  Maura seen that it was blood that was being pumped into her.  "Wait a minute, is this blood who I think it is?"Maura asked the nurse softly as she nodded.  "Sophia said she's trying to get you to heal quickly as you can,  but you being pregnant with a half vampire baby,  she's taking alot out of you!"said the nurse.  

"Oh... I guess that's why I'm weak the right?" Maura asked her as she nodded. "But wait, I'm not a vampire again am I?" Maura asked the nurse softly.  "No your not, Sophia said something about in order for you to be one, you have to have fresh blood from the vampire wrist, this blood isn't fresh although it is Ryo's blood!"said the nurse as Maura nodded.  She didn't know that, she thought no matter if it was Ryo's blood or Sophia's she would be turned no matter if it was from them or in a bag. "Are you hungry?"the nurse asked as Maura nodded. "Yes I am, I could use something to eat, I'm starving!"said Maura honestly. After a few minutes the nurse appeared with a steak dinner, with a bake potatoes and salad with cheesecake for dessert. "Thankyou!"said Maura softly before she started eating her first meal she had in a week.

Hours passed, and Maura was starting to get sleepy again even though she been asleep for a week now. "I know I just woke-up a few hours ago, but I'm feeling sleepy again."said Maura softly. "It's the potions we gave you to heal that's doing that as well as that baby, why don't you get some rest?"the nurse asked as Maura nodded. "Ok... and thanks Hannah."said Maura before she dozed off to sleep.

Sophia was doing the last run for the day before she went home for the day, turns out she wasn't going to go home though, she was going to stay with Maura. With files in her arms, Sophia headed towards Maura's room to see how she was doing. Upon entering the room, Sophia noticed a plate on a empty tray in the corner of the room, noticing it was all Maura's favorite things to eat she shook her head and smiled. "Maura you sneaky little girl!"said Sophia chuckling softly to herself. "Glad your awake, although your not right now, I know that didn't make sense but you get me!"said Sophia softly.

Now that she knew Maura was awake now, she could go home and get some more rest that she needed. Sophia been working around the clock to get Maura back on her feet, she didn't give up on her no matter what. For the last week, Sophia barely gotten any sleep other then the few hours that she had today, but she was still tired and beat. "Have a good night Mars, I'll see you in the morning!"said Sophia softly. Closing the door behind her, Sophia clocked out and headed home.

*NEXT MORNING*

It was six o' clock in the morning as Sophia walked down the corridor with a bagel and a cup of french vanilla coffee in her hands. Before even clocking in, nurses came and gave her files for new patients that came in over night. "Ugh... seriously?"Sophia thought to herself rolling her eyes. Quickly clocking in, Sophia took her bagle out and started eating it before heading towards her desk to read the patient files. Knowing Maura wasn't up yet, Sophia kept reading the files until it was eight.

As a hour passed, Sophia looked up at the clock and sighed. "Well... at lease I killed a hour at lease."said Sophia softly to herself. Realizing it was time for the hourly check-ups on the patients, Sophia stood up from her desk and walked down the corridor heading towards the patients room. Before she knew it, she was done checking all her patients before she looked at her watch to see it was nine o'clock.

"Wow... I didn't know I was at it for two hours!"Sophia thought to herself. knowing Maura should be up by now, Sophia headed towards her room. As she knocked on the door lightly Sophia entered as she seen Maura awake reading a book. "Hey Mars, glad to see your up, how you feeling?"Sophia asked her softly.
