At home, she knew, her brothers and sister were donning the same costumes the family wore every year. Having grown up on The Phantom Of The Opera, the entirety of the Bates family loved Masquerades and never failed to don the outfits and invite their friends over while passing candy out to the children that stopped by. Tris knew, however, that trick-or-treating wasn't the most normal Halloween tradition among those at Hogwarts. It almost seemed frowned upon. Trisha had made up her mind that morning to join her friends at the Halloween party in the Hogsmeade Commons, so after completing the homework she had waiting for her in her room, she had time to get ready.
Although it was technically Trisha's turn to get a new costume - the family rotated, if only to save money - she passed that right onto her sister so she could keep the blue and gold outfit from the year before. It was simple enough, but it fit her well. It wasn't as if she had anyone in particular to impress, anyways, so she pulled up her hair into a somewhat messy bun and headed out.
By the time Tris reached Hogsmeade, she knew the shoes she had chosen were going to kill her. Back home, there was never a danger of walking so much one's feet hurt. Casting a quick charm on them, she glanced about for anyone she knew. That was the trouble of Halloween, though, wasn't it? Trying to figure everyone out.
To her surprise, her eyes landed on the group of her friends, standing only a few feet away. While Tris often felt like the outsider, she really didn't know anyone else. Nothing was going to be allowed to spoil her favorite holiday. I'm a ghost "hunter," after all, Tris mused with a smile.
"Hello, all." She greeted lightly as she reached them. Tris had a feeling she had missed something as she looked from Caspian, Charlie, and the other girls to Nathan. Lifting an eyebrow - before realizing no one would see it behind her mask - Trisha toyed with her Halloween-themed bracelet, unsure what to do. She didn't exactly know any of them well enough to help.
