A New day

John sat in a window one leg hung down swinging back and forward as he read a book. The days were getting shorter and he knew soon halloween would be here then christmas which he hoped he could spend with his family. He was comfortable as he turned another page the room gave him peace and quiet to study but he hoped some one would find the room so he'd have some one to talk to other than himself. Standing he placed the book down on a table and took out his I pod turning on the music he sang a long to the music not even bothered and knowing the sound would not leave the room as he turned to face out the window.

After two weeks of walking around with a empty memory, Shane was glad to have his normal life back again. He never knew how much he had until he almost lost it completely. Now he knew who he was and what he was, and he couldn't be happier to be back to his normal self. According to his friends and Olivia, he was pretty out of it. Shane couldn't believe he didn't know who he was or even his name was, it just seemed to hard to believe. Luckily Sophia was able to help me by using various reversing spells and potions and him staying a week in St. Mungo's.

Wanting some time alone to think, Shane headed towards the Room of Requirements. "I need some place to be alone and think."Shane thought as he paced the wall where the door usually stood. As it appeared Shane walked in to see a boy that appeared to be a fourth year singing. Hearing the boy Shane thought he was a very good singer indeed. "I have to say you have quite a voice on you there mate."said Shane softly.

"I sing myself, but I don't let many people hear me."said Shane honestly. "I'm Shane, Shane Diamond 7th year Gryffindor."said Shane.

John Jumped as he heard a voice behind him thinking he ws the only one in the room. Turning he saw another boy a seventh year Griffindor " um thanks I think" he said and turned off his Ipod and sat down by the window to watch him" Im john Walker?" he said not even knowing if the other boy would talk or just had come because it was quiet there. John packed up his Ipod and placed it in his bag and sat loking at him. " I just came here to get some quiet time, if you want I can leave?" looking around he hped he could stay as the sight of all those love struck girls was to him sickaningly sweet. He was happy to be right where he was and at this time he was girl free. He ahd freinds who were girls but no girlfreind.

Shane looked at the boy and chuckled. "Don't be ashamed of you abilities John, there what make you unique!"said Shane. "By the way nice to meet you John, so you sing much much?"Shane asked him curiously. Shane shook his head. "No your fine, I just came here to finish a song."said Shane as he gotten out his song book. "It's just a song that came to me once I got my memory back."said Shane. "It's a long story of how I gotten that way, but I'll tell you if you want to hear it."said Shane.

Opening his song book Shane looked at the pages in his book and smiled. He couldn't believe that he gotten everything about him, it was just to hard to believe. He couldn't believe he hurt so many people when he lost his memory especially Olivia and Jamie. Shane was glad to be back to normal, but his friends didn't know he was back quite yet though.

John looked up at Shane and chuckled " thanks but I prefer to keep it hid , I think I get it from my mother as my father is tone deaf" he said and sat back on the window seat his knees pulled to his chest as he looked out of it. He turned to look at Shane and nodded " sure not like I haven't got anything else to do anyway" He said now moving slithtly so he could sit and listen to him as he spoke. He found it facinating and informative to learn about others feeling it helped him understand his own past.

Shane nodded. "I understand, I was that way when it came to singing but then I sung on stage with my friends and it was really fun, but not many people know I can sing."said Shane honestly. Shane chuckled at his comment. "Are you sure you don't?"Shane asked him before chuckling.

"Well... it all started when me and my worse enemy Romeo Romeo Zabini had a dueling match in the classroom that gotten us detention for a whole month, not that I cared I simply beat him at his own game seeing how he was the one that started it. But it didn't start getting nasty until he tried hitting on my best friend Maura Goldstein in front of me trying to make her cheat on her boyfriend Ryo, so my other best friend Jamie Giggory shot Stupefy at him and made him fall down the stairs. He told us he was going to get back at us and he did, he was going to make me have warts sprouting all over my body and Maura fall in love with him but we think he gotten the potions messed up and gave us the wrong ones resulting me into losing my memory for about two weeks or so and that's the whole story."said Shane simply. "A bit boring I know."said Shane honestly.

Looking down at his songbook he looked at the song that he was working on and smiled before writing down a couple of more lyrics that came to him.

John sat and listened to Shane talk he chuckled at the tought of warts but frowned when he mentioned the potions had been mixed up so he lost his memorys "So what of your girl she still around or did she go off with the guy?" he asked feeing bad for Shane now he had never known the love of a girl bad enough that he would harm another to protect her. He sat back and watched him write in his note book "more Lyrics?" he asked taking out a book with a dragon on the cover he'd loved them since his fathers employer send him to study them when he left the grounds to see his father with out permishon and ported in using magic he was not ment to use.

"Yeah she's still around here, and she's perfectly back to normal."said Shane. "I don't like Jamie or Maura, there my best friends but there isn't anything I wouldn't do for them."said Shane honestly. "I actually like a girl who's a sixth year Ravenclaw named Olivia Jones."said Shane smiling as he mentioned her name. "Although I remember when I had lost my memory she told me we were just friends."said Shane sighing. "If she just sees me that way, I guess I should move on from her which won't be easy."said Shane honestly letting out a sigh.

John looked down at his own book and chuckled. "Thats good, glad she is okay, not got that worry never had a girl myself" he said and frowned as he wrote a note in his book then closed it as he looked at shane again and shrugged "Might be the best for both of you, you know kinda like a new start for both of you." he said with a shrug " you never know, that one love struck lucky girl might be around here some place." he said and chuckled as he made a kissy face at him he could never see himself as a love struck guy with a honey blond hanging on his arm.

Shane nodded. "You'll get there one day mate, and when you do beware mate just beware!"said Shane chuckling. Shane shrugged at his reply. "Yeah maybe your right mate."said Shane sighing. Shane rolled his eyes at John and chuckled. "Yeah maybe, I just turned down so many girls because of Olivia I guess I haven't really looked around to see who really liked me."said Shane honestly. "Once you like one girl, you can be hooked on them and don't want to let them go."said Shane sighing. It was true, Shane didn't want to let Olivia go but if she didn't like him but more then just a friend then there was no point of trying with her. Love was a weird thing sometimes, it could sometimes make you or break you.
